Ardashir Vahrami (AR-dah-sheer vah-RAH-mee)
First Voice of Pārsa (Current)
Ardashir Vahrami was born in Shiraz, not far from the ruins of Persepolis, where stone reliefs of kings and processions still whisper of empires past. As a boy, he would walk the terraces with his grandfather, who recited verses of Hafez and spoke of stewardship rather than conquest. That early education impressed on him a sense of continuity: that leadership was not about dominance, but about carrying a thread through time. His aptitude for disciplined thought and calm argument drew him quickly into Whisper training, where his instructors praised his capacity to hold both compassion and rigor in balance.
Now in his late thirties, Ardashir is First Voice of Persepolis, embodying the gravitas of his heritage without succumbing to nostalgia. His personal life is both stable and fluid: he shares a long-standing union with a fellow council scholar, yet also nurtures ties with a poet from Isfahan and a gardener who travels seasonally along the Zagros valleys. He believes relationships are like fire temples — each with its own flame, all contributing to the greater light of community. His household reflects this, a place where study, music, and hospitality flow without distinction.
Outside council duties, Ardashir is a dedicated student of architecture and ritual. He spends hours sketching columns and gardens, imagining how modern spaces might echo the harmony of Achaemenid design. He also tends to roses, cultivating a small garden in Shiraz that he often compares to governance: each bloom requiring care, pruning, and the courage to allow beauty its season. Colleagues say his leadership style is patient, deliberate, and infused with imagery — always reminding others that the Accord must be as enduring as stone yet as alive as the flame.
