Season of Concord

The first week of Maat marks the annual Season of Concord, leading to Ratification Day, the Federation’s most solemn and unifying observance. During this week, all First Voices, Wardens and Whispers convene in local and federative councils to review the state of harmony across Koina. Grievances are presented, inequities debated, and proposed amendments to guild law or inter-federation treaties are drafted for consideration at the next year’s assembly. These sessions are not adversarial but restorative—meant to clear imbalance before the new civic cycle begins.   When the deliberations conclude, the public joins in festivals of music, art, and shared feasts. At dawn on 10 Maat, the Grand Assembly reconvenes for any new oaths, signings, etc. and resonance beacons ignite from east to west, and for one minute a sustained harmonic tone carries through the planetary grid, symbolizing a single, continuous breath of concord.   Cultural Meaning:
Ratification Day is not a static anniversary but a living negotiation—Koina’s annual act of self-correction. Harmony is reaffirmed through truth-telling and reason before celebration begins, reminding every citizen that unity is not inherited; it is practiced.
