WorldEmber 2025!

The time has come the walrus said to speak of many things!
Worldember is well on its way and now with faire season coming to an end I'm excited to get back into it! I've been so busy with running a business, learning leathercraft, working on a mini project and Renfaire hopping that I have had no time for writing, but with all of that coming to a close I am excited to dive back into Tanaria with new inspiration.
I have plans to build on so much but my main goal is to write articles for all of the Playable Races in Tanaria, all of the humanoids and their cultures, their homes and more, as well as tackling some stub articles, but as you all know stubs often lead to more stubs! I also want to get articles for all of my more minor deities, but having a comprehensive list of playable races for my TTRPG games is more of a priority presently. Its a long list but I'm sure I can tackle it. Last year I made it my goal to be at the top of the wordcount board and I'm not sure if I will do the same but either way Tanaria will grow!
Here is a shortlist of some of my article plans for Tanaria:
    • Dwarf
    • Goliath
    • Halfling
    • Elf Subraces
    • Satyr/Faun
    • Shifters
    • Hobgoblin
    • Shadowkin
    • Astrology
    • Continent of Vandalar
    • Igmut’s Hangover Brew
    • Expanded Martial & Hybrid Classes
    • Specialist & Unique Classes (Necromancer, Alchemist, Beastmaster)

I am the impatient sort, so I might end up working on some of these things before December, but we shall see. Wish me luck!

12/6/25 Now a week into Worldember with 26,249 words and things are moving at a nice pace. Not as intense as last year, but that might just be because the scoreboards aren't up yet! I'm hoping to hit 800,000 words total for my world and I'm currently at 728k. Its a tall order but last year I did 182k words so fingers crossed.
I'm currently working my way through the different categories, but I'm still hoping to tackle a lot of stubs and get the rest of the d&d races listed. The biggest challenge this year is honestly the new editor... I kind of hate it, and its not just a "Change is bad" but I don't like how cluttered it feels when I'm working on an article. It feels so condensed and honestly stresses me out. I hate that the devs are set on phasing out the old editor. It is clean, easy, undistracting and I worry in the future if it will inhibit my desire to work on my world more. I guess time will tell.
On a different note I feel like people are interacting so much more this year its nice! I have been striving to check the community feed and poke around some new worlds more often but it had felt good to have so many likes and new followers!
  Good luck to everyone!
