Rule: Species size

Playable species come in three sizes.

Small Species

Small species are between 2-4 feet tall.   Base Inventory Slots
  • You have 8 Inventory Slots.
  • When carried, you take up 6 Inventory Slots plus any Inventory Slots you have filled with gear.
Combat gear allowance (?)
  • Mighty, Arc and Large Mechanical weapons are restricted.
  • Heavy, and Superheavy armor are restricted.
  • Shields (Large) are restricted.
Aptitude & Defense modifiers
  • +1 Dexterity, because of your low center of gravity.
  • -1 Strength, because you have less mass to throw around.
  • +1 Defense Rating, because you are a small target.
Other factors
  • You gain an Advantage on rolls that involve hiding or remaining unseen, for example Stealth rolls.
  • You can squeeze into spaces larger species cannot.
  • You can ride smaller Pets.

Medium Species

Medium species are between 4-7 feet tall. Most are Medium.   Base Inventory Slots
  • You have 10 Inventory Slots.
  • When carried, you take up 8 Inventory Slots plus any Inventory Slots you have filled with gear.
Combat gear allowance (?)
  • You have no restrictions.

Large Species

Large species are over 7 feet tall or are extraordinarily bulky.   Base Inventory Slots
  • You have 12 Inventory Slots.
  • When carried, you take up 10 Inventory Slots plus any Inventory Slots you have filled with gear.
Combat gear allowance (?)
  • You can use Mighty, Arc and Large Mechanical weapons in a single hand without penalty, so you can use a shield too!
  • Concealed and Small Mechanical weapons are restricted
Aptitude & Defense modifiers
  • +1 Strength, because of your extended leverage and musculature.
  • -1 Defense Rating, because you are a large target.
Other factors
  • Armor and Outfits cost 50% more than their value.
  • You can reach higher than most other species.
