Magic School: Evocation
Perhaps the most straightforward school of magic, the school of Evocation is centered upon highly damaging effects that can be used in combat, providing anything from beams of energy to full-fledged magical explosions.
Rank 0 (Basic) :
- Acid Bubble
Name : Acid Bubble
Description : You cast a bubble of acid. Casting time : 1 Action
Cooldown : 1 Turn Range : 60 ft
Duration : Instantaneous Effect :
Choose one creature you can see within range, or choose two creatures you can see within range that are within 5 feet of each other.
- The target take 1 Heart of Acid Damage.
Casted as Rank 2 :
- The Damage is increased by 1.
- If the target Parry with a Shield :
- The Shield lose 1 additionnal Shield Resistance until repaired.
- If the target equips an Armor and dosn't Parry with a Shield :
- The Armor suffer 2 Defense Rating penalty until repaired.
- If the target dosn't equips an Armor or Parry with a Shield :
- The target roll on the Elemental Injury Table.
- Poison Spray
Name : Poison Spray
Description : You extend your hand toward a creature you can see within range and project a puff of noxious gas from your palm. Casting time : 1 Action
Cooldown : - Range : 10-foot line
Duration : Instantaneous Effect :
All the targets take 1 Heart of Poison Damage.
They must then succeed a Constitution Check to avoid rolling on the Elemental Injury Table.
Casted as Rank 2 :
- Increase area from 10-foot line to 20-foot line.
- In addition to the Constitution Check, target automatically roll on the Elemental Injury Table (can trigger 2 rolls in total).
- Dancing Lights
Name : Dancing Lights
Description : You create up to four candle-sized lights within range, making them appear as glowing orbs that hover in the air for the duration. Casting time : 1 Action
Cooldown : - Range : 120 ft
Duration : Concentration, up to 1 minute Effect :
Each light sheds dim light in a 10-foot radius.
- Negate Partially dark Area Condition (Obscured) caused by darkness.
- Totally dark Area Condition (Obscured) caused by darkness become Partially dark.
- A light is not within 20 feet of another light created by this spell.
- A light is further from the caster then the spell’s range limit at any given time.
- Each light can be moved by 60 feet.
- Air Blast
Name : Air Blast
Description : A blast of compressed air streaks toward a creature within range. Casting time : 1 Action
Cooldown : - Range : 120 ft
Duration : Instantaneous Effect :
The target take 1 Heart of Physical Damage.
Casted as Rank 2 :
Can roll up to 4 blasts instead of 1.- Make a separate roll for each blast.
- You can direct the blast at the same target or at different ones.
Note: More than one blast at a single target is considered a bigger blast, the Damage is the sum of all the blast targeting the creature.
- Fire Bolt
Name : Fire Bolt
Description : You hurl a mote of fire at a creature or object within range. Casting time : 1 Action
Cooldown : - Range : 120 ft
Duration : Instantaneous Effect :
The target roll on the Elemental Injury Table. A flammable object hit by this spell ignites if it isn’t being worn or carried.
Casted as Rank 2 :
The target also take 2 Hearts of Fire Damage. Instead of a simple roll on the Elemental Injury Table, the target do it with a result increased by 2.
- Frostbite
Name : Frostbite
Description : You cause numbing frost to form on one creature that you can see within range. Casting time : 1 Action
Cooldown : - Range : 60 ft
Duration : Instantaneous Effect :
The target roll on the Elemental Injury Table. The target must succeed a Constitution Check to avoid having a Disadvantage on the next weapon attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn.
Casted as Rank 2 :
The target also take 1 Heart of Cold Damage. Instead of a simple roll on the Elemental Injury Table, the target do it with a result increased by 2. Instead of rolling the Constitution Check, the target automatically have the Disadvantage on the next weapon attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn.
- Hand of Radiance
Name : Hand of Radiance
Description : You raise your hand, and burning radiance erupts from it. Casting time : 1 Action
Cooldown : - Range : 5 ft
Duration : Instantaneous Effect :
Each creature of your choice that you can see within 5 feet of you :
- Must succeed a Constitution Check to avoid taking 1 Heart of Radiant Damage.
Casted as Rank 2 :
The Constitution Check of the targets are in Disadvantage and the Damage is increased by 2.
- Lightning Lure
Name : Lightning Lure
Description : You create a lash of pure lightning energy to strikes a creature. Casting time : 1 Action
Cooldown : - Range : 15 ft
Duration : Instantaneous Effect :
On hit :- The target take 1 Heart of Lightning Damage.
- The target must succeed on a Strength Contest with you or be pulled up to 10 feet in a straight line toward you and take an additionnal 1 Heart of Lightning Damage.
Casted as Rank 2 :
The target has Disadvantage on the Strength Contest. If the target is pulled :- The additionnal Heart of Lightning Damage is increased by 1.
- The target must also succeed a Constitution Check or suffer Ailment (Disoriented).
- Ray of Frost
Name : Ray of Frost
Description : A frigid beam of blue-white light streaks toward a creature within range. Casting time : 1 Action
Cooldown : - Range : 60 ft
Duration : Instantaneous Effect :
On a hit :- The target take 1 Heart of Cold Damage.
- The target Speed is reduced by one step until the start of your next turn.
Casted as Rank 2 :
- The Damage is increased by 1.
- The target Speed is reduced by two step instead of 1.
- The target roll on the Elemental Injury Table.
- Sacred Flame
Name : Sacred Flame
Description : Flame-like radiance descends from the sky, on a creature that is taking cover. Casting time : 1 Action
Cooldown : - Range : 60 ft
Duration : Instantaneous Effect :
Note: Dosn't require an actual open sky, but you must at least see a point in the air within range from where the spell is casted. The target take 1 Heart of Radiant Damage. The target gains no benefit from cover (Area condition (Sheltered)) if there's no cover over his head.- If the target is taking cover, it must succeed an Insight Check or take 1 additionnal Heart of Radiant Damage.
Casted as Rank 2 :
- The Damage is increased by 1.
- Failling the Insight Check cause another additionnal Heart of Radiant Damage.
- Shocking Grasp
Name : Shocking Grasp
Description : Lightning springs from your hand to deliver a shock to a creature you try to touch. Casting time : 1 Action
Cooldown : - Range : Touch
Duration : 1 turn Effect :
The target roll with Disadvantage until your next turn. If the target wear Armor type (Heavy or Superheavy) made of metal :- This spell roll with Advantage.
- The target take 1 Heart of Lightning Damage.
Casted as Rank 2 :
The target must succeed a Constitution Check (before gaining the Disadvantage on his rolls) or become Ailment (Restrained) until your next turn.- The target is paralysed, it can't move or do actions except talking or trying to cast a spell.
- The target take 1 additionnal Heart of Lightning Damage.
- Thunderclap
Name : Thunderclap
Description : You create a burst of thunderous sound, which can be heard afar. Casting time : 1 Action
Cooldown : - Range : Self (5-foot radius)
Duration : Instantaneous Effect :
The emited sound can be heard 200 feet away. Each creature other than you within range must make a Constitution Check or take 1 Heart of Sonic Damage.
Casted as Rank 2 :
The range is increased from 5-foot radius to 10 foot radius. The Constitution Check of the targets are in Disadvantage and additionnal side effect happen :- The targets are Ailment (Deafened) until they succeed a Constitution Check during your start of turn.
- If the target is within 5-foot radius, and not at 10-foot radius, the target take 1 additionnal Heart of Sonic Damage.
