Octant 2 - Dionysus (dee-oh-NEE-sus)
Buildings of all shapes and sizes line the streets of this neon-soaked octant. There’s activity but it’s not so much the hustle and bustle of the working man’s day to day, but the queues to get into venues, roaring laughter, and sounds of life being lived by people of all different sorts. Through the commotion one could likely still hear the soft hum of electricity as the bright signs let people know just what they can find in the building those signs hang from. Whether it’s a Friday night and you want to let loose, or if you are a 24/7 party animal, look no further than Octant Dionysus. Entertainment, nightlife, and the opportunity for unforgettable stories will wait for you.
Demographics
Many different types of people tend to find their way to Dionysus, for many different reasons. It’s hard to get a proper read of the demographics for this reason.
Defences
Bouncers: Most businesses have standard security and specialized high security teams for casinos and large amounts of money movement. It’s not uncommon for a bouncer to step in if they see something wrong. It’s also not uncommon for a bouncer to use force if it’s deemed necessary.
Drakes: High security money transport, Drakes are armed security guards that man and protect the trucks of money going in and out of the casinos as well as other businesses of Octant Dionysus.
Oracles: Octant Dionysus’ branch of this department of law enforcement, responding to all manners of disturbances and criminal activity that is above a Bouncer’s paygrade. Usually quick to arrive due to the nature of the octant, Oracles will attempt to de-escalate or apprehend suspects as needed.
Industry & Trade
Entertainment is the primary industry within Octant Dionysus, most business goes to, not from. However, there is an underground scene dedicated to the industries of organized crime, hired hands, and money laundering. It’s not a secret that drugs also make their way in and out of the octant. Another rising industry in Octant Dionysus is film and other forms of visual media, with a couple of studios dedicated to these productions. These aside, if anyone is looking for hired entertainment, it’s not difficult to find a performer willing to book a show or a restaurant willing to cater outside of the octant.
Infrastructure
With an excess of hotels, casinos, bars, clubs, and restaurants, Octant Dionysus is by no means poor. Their constant flow of revenue keeps this octant well funded from making sure the buildings are in good condition, to keeping the trams running throughout the octant efficiently. While the streets may not always be the cleanest, that’s about the worst of this community’s infrastructure issues.

Guilds and Factions
Bouncer’s Union
Bouncers are exactly what they sound like, security guards for the many establishments of Octant Dionysus. There is a siblinghood in this profession, and the many bouncers of the octant have joined together to make a guild dedicated to supporting each other while protecting their charges. This union remains functional as their frequent communication with each other ensures they’re being treated well by their employers, or getting paid and compensated fairly for their work. Neon Angels
The Neon Angels are a collective dedicated to making sure party-goers are safe. From handing someone a glass of water after they’ve downed their second alcoholic drink in a row, to shutting down a stranger’s unwanted advances on another, to helping the young and reckless when they take something they shouldn’t have. While anyone can just be a good person and do these things, Neon Angels have made this their duty, often equipped with first aid kits or other useful items on their person. The easiest way to spot an official Neon Angel is to look for someone wearing a black denim jacket, with neon angel wings painted on the back and a member number on one of the front pockets.

Fool’s Garden Casino
One of the many casinos within Octant Dionysus, but stands out one of the more popular ones. Fool’s Garden had gained a reputation over the last couple of years as an establishment with a great atmosphere. With a wide variety of games, gambling tables, and the occasional in house entertainment available, there isn’t much room for boredom. They’ve recently expanded to having a restaurant and hotel attached as well, which was a welcome expansion to the regular patrons of the casino. The Food Network
Collection of food trucks parked in their own lot. These trucks all offer goods unique in their own right. Each truck has a different kind of food, with a few dedicated to drinks as well. For the sake of supplies and crowd control, only a few of the collective are open at a time on a rotation. The exception to this is Saturdays, and the Carnival.
