Lernée's Duelling Arena - Championship Titles

As the new duelling season is set to begin in Lernée's Duelling Arena, learn all about our Championships and place your bets!

This new season promises to be full of surprise! Following Champion Dueller Verteuil's disqualification after his potion scandal during last year's final of the Classic Championship and Olivier suddenly bursting onto the top stage, all titles now feels up to grab! How will you place your bets? If you still haven't memorised the full list of our old and new Championship titles (shame on you, what have you been doing in the past decade?), here is the recap!

The Dueller Champion—He will stun you!

Type of duelling: Classic Occurrence: Yearly Rewards: Most prestigious title; nomination on the Royal Council after ten wins; a townhouse on Royal Road while holding the title. Remarkable past champions: Councilman de Fresnoy (10 wins), Councilman d'Eglantine (10 wins), Verteuil (9 wins), Joinville (8 wins), Quicque (5 wins), Aubigny (2 wins), Olivier (1 win). Current odds: Joinville 20:1; Olivier 2:1; Verteuil 1:2; Aubigny 1:2; Quicque 1:3; Maupin 1:5.

Team Duelling

The Squad—They will squeeze you!

Type of duelling: Team duelling, with a chosen partner Occurrence: Every two years Rewards: Money; during the team duelling championship next year, a joker to change teammate and redraw. Remarkable past champions: Councilman de Fresnoy (6 wins), Quicque (1 win). Current odds: Not taking place this year.

The Affable—He will smother you!

Type of duelling: Team duelling, with randomly assigned partners each round. Occurrence: Every two years. Rewards: Money; during the team duelling championship next year, priority to choose a teammate. Remarkable past champions: Councilman de Fresnoy (5 wins), Quicque (3 wins). Current odds: Quicque 2:1; Olivier 1:2.

Elemental Duelling

The Unfathomable—He will krill you!

Type of duelling: Underwater. Occurrence: Yearly. Rewards: Money; holding for year a device that adds water suddenly in the arena. Remarkable past champions: Joinville (6 wins), Aubigny (2 wins). Current odds: Joinville 10:1; Aubigny 1:3.

The Whirlwind—He will blow you away!

Type of duelling: In the air. Occurrence: Yearly. Rewards: Money; holding for a year a device that project you or your opponents in the air. Remarkable past champions: Maupin (6 wins). Current odds: Maupin 5:1; Olivier 1:3.

Dynamic Duelling

The Hurdle—He will be the ultimate barrier to your success!

Type of duelling: With obstacles. Occurrence: Yearly. Rewards: Money; holding for a year a device that randomly adds obstacles in the arena. Remarkable past champions: Maupin (6 wins), Verteuil (1 win). Current odds: Maupin 15:1; Verteuil 1:7.

The Amalgam—You'll be shuffled away!

Type of duelling: Medley of all other types. Occurrence: Every four years. Rewards: A crown that can be worn during duels for four years. Remarkable past champions: Quicque (11 wins), Joinville (2 wins), Verteuil (1 win), Aubigny (1 win). Current odds: Quicque 15:1; Joinville 1:2; Verteuil 1:8; Aubigny 1:15.
