Welcome to the duelling arena of Lernée!
Milara's top dulling ring!
Here is what you need to know before assisting to your first duel.
Map
The Duelling Arena is located on
Royal Road at the heart of
Lernée, near the
Royal Palace. You cannot miss it!
To find your seat, it is imperative that you queue at the right entrance and take the right staircase. Look at your tickets!
When booking your tickets, don't hesitate to splurge for a top level seat or even an entire lodge up there: the glass protecting you from stray duelling magic has also been altered to magnify everything you see so that you don't miss any details!
Outside of match time, you can also buy tickets to visit the underground facilities and see our
duellers train. For a special fee, you will even be able to exchange a few words with them!
Schedule
The duelling stage is fully adaptable and change depending on the type of duel, so be sure to look at our schedule to get to the show you want!
There are five year round tournaments in Lernée:
Monday: Team matches, either with the same teams from the start to the end of the tournament, or with each dueller being assigned a random partner for each round of the tournament. The type of duels filled with the most drama!
Tuesday: Random medley of all other types of matches! Neither you nor the duellers themselves have any ideas what to expect!
Wednesday: Water your matches! See the contestants having to struggle with the way their magic is altered by water and having to avoid to drown to add some spice to the arena!
Thursday: Matches around obstacles, from rocks to hide behind, to platforms on which to jump to surprise your opponents. The stage changes every time, and contestants can come up with some wild stuff!
Friday: Aerian matches! The floor is lava and nobody can land on it. Watch our contestant struggle to stay up in the air while under fire and unable to use any anchors for their attacks!
Saturday: Classic matches, one versus one on a flat stage with no distraction. A pure show of skills and magic!
Sunday: Always an empty spot in our schedule just in case a new challenger to His Majesty's throne comes forwards! These are obviously the most expensive tickets, with some buying all Sunday tickets for the entire year in advance—so as soon as a challenge is issued be sure to rush to our ticket counter!

each type of Championship and their respective titles for additional details.
Top Duellers
Florent Verteuil
Tournaments: Classic, Obstacle, Medley.
Years of experience: 15 (age 35).
Historic: 9 times Classic Champion; 1 time Obstacle Champion, 1 time Medley Champion. Was going to win his 10th Classic Championship and get onto the
Royal Council before he was disqualified in the final for
cheating with
potions.
Weaknesses: Incapable of teamwork and could be more unpredictable.
Skills: Precision of his attacks, power, and adaptability.
Betting odds: Classic 1:2; Obstacle 1:7; Medley 1:8.
Gossip: At the start of his career, Verteuil participated in all other types of tournaments, and let us simply say that we were not impressed! Close to
His Majesty and the government.
Sylvain Olivier
Tournaments: Classic, Team, Air.
Years of experience: 1 (age 21).
Historic: 1 time Classic Champion. Only joined the top Championships last year but took us all by storm by winning the
Classic Championship!
Weaknesses: Lack of experience, and his power and endurance still developing because of his youth.
Skills: Speed, agility, unpredictability, and teamwork.
Betting odds: Classic 2:1; Team 1:2; Air 1:3.
Gossip: Olivier is known for being widely unpredictable! While still young and unexperienced, he has managed several times to completely top the scale and throw his opponents and bettors in disarray! Truly the wildest card in the Championships!
Thérance Joinville
Tournaments: Classic, Water, Medley.
Years of experience: 23 (age 43).
Historic: Won the Classic Championship 8 times before Verteuil stole the title from him and never let him get it back; 6 times Water Champion; 2 times Medley Champion.
Weaknesses: Predictable, sticking to beautifully executed but well-known techniques. Teamwork.
Skills: Power, speed, agility, and endurance. Very technical.
Betting odds: Classic 20:1; Water 10:1; Medley 1:2.
Gossip: Now that Verteuil cannot cheat with potions anymore, Joinville is expected to resume his victories in the Classic Championship and to soon join the
Royal Council. After he was
seen talking to Councilman d'Églantine about hovering devices, there has been wild speculations that he is already readying to enter politics!
Baudouin Quicque
Tournaments: Classic, Team, Medley.
Years of experience: 27 (age 47).
Historic: 5 times Classic Champion but hasn't won in 13 years; 11 times Medley Champion; 4 times Team Champion.
Weaknesses: A well rounded dueller, but with relatively lower endurance and agility.
Skills: Chameleon, very wide range of skills and very adaptable.
Betting odds: Classic 1:3; Team 2:1; Medley 15:1.
Gossip: The oldest of the top dueller still in the Championships. Some find him boring while others are reassured by the steadfastness of his results! Since Verteuil and Joinville's started fighting for the Classic Championship title, Quicque seems to have quietly gave up on it and refocused his efforts on the Medley.
Clorinde Aubigny
Tournaments: Classic, Water, Medley.
Years of experience: 20 (age 40).
Historic: 2 times Classic Champion; 2 times Water Champion; 1 time Medley Champion.
Weaknesses: Teamwork, adaptability, and creativity.
Skills: Very high endurance and strength of will.
Betting odds: Classic 1:2; Water 1:3; Medley 1:15.
Gossip: Known for her sheer stubbornness inside and outside of the Arena, Aubigny often wins by simply refusing to give up and wearing down her opponents! This also means that she makes little effort to adapt to the challenges she faces, instead simply bullishly charging ahead to crush them down with the strength of her will!
Julie Maupin
Tournaments: Classic, Air, Obstacle.
Years of experience: 6 (age 26).
Historic: 6 times Obstacle Champion; 6 times Air Champion. The only one in this top list to have never won the Classic Championship.
Weaknesses: Teamwork, power, and endurance.
Skills: Creativity, speed, agility. Will always come up with new techniques and put them in practice before anyone has time to understand what's going on.
Betting odds: Classic 1:5; Air 5:1; Obstacle 15:1.
Gossip: A young dueller that has shaken up the Championships with her creativity and showy persona! Recently
caught partying all night and morning just before an important duel, this has put into question her dedication to her career and has seriously cooled down bettors' favour for her!
Recent winners of the Classic Championship in reverse order: -1: Olivier, -2 to -10 Verteuil, -11 and- 12 Joinville, -13 Quicque, -14 Joinville, -15 Aubigny, -16 and -17 Joinville, -18 Aubigny, -19 to 21 Joinville, 22 to 25 Quicque.
