Onearis Galaxy
Active irregular galaxy.
The Onearis galaxy is the home galaxy of the Gagarag species, and the Karnol Caretakers. All of the stars of this galaxy are in seemingly random, but large clusters. Also the central supermassive black hole is active, meaning it is very high in energy. It may be possible for a sufficiently powerful civilization to make use of it.
Onearis features a number of large clusters of stars, each more or less isolated geopolitically, until the Caretakers and the KC unified it politically into the KC. These sectors each had their own distributions of various alien species and factions before the KC, so the Caretakers has control of a large number of organic species and a very large population. Still, the Caretakers never declared war on another faction as they aimed to expand peacefully and bring them under the Caretakers peacefully rather than through war, though other factions might have critisised them or even declared war on the KC, but they survived through sheer advanced technology.
The various clusters of stars can be reached because of the low density stellar medium that occupies the space between them. Though more difficult to plot courses in due to the much larger distance between stars, invasions have been staged between these areas, as well as other missions. This has allowed the various clusters to interact with each other, each forming their own unique superpowers and political situations.
