Chi Galnar System

Star system present in the Arkan galaxy.

The Chi Galnar star is a spectral class F main sequence star with a large number of planets orbiting it, and present within the Leviathan Troznux cluster. Some of these planets feature leviathan skeletons, which have previously sustained entire planetary ecosystems, so life is present on almost every planet in the Chi Galnar system. Though these very ancient leviathan corpses are now long decayed into skeletons, some tourists now like to visit some of these planets to witness the sheer size of these leviathans in person. Their smallest bones can sometimes resemble very oddly shaped mountains, and the largest bones present some significant travel obstacles making tourism difficult, and often also reaching well above the clouds.

The Chi Galnar system is well known as the star system where Leviathans were found for the first time. These immense creatures were large enough for its microbiome to fill all roles of an ecosystem, allowing the leviathan to survive on the energy it receives through photosynthetic bacteria, though they depend on an orbit that is close to the star. 

Initially, the HF starships detected several leviathans in a pack in close orbit of the Chi Galnar star but their ships were far too small for the leviathans to notice, and they could not see them. The HF thus launched significant investigations in order to establish some method of communication.
