Mu Nixoria
Galaxy owned by the Nixoran Federation.
Mu Nixoria is an active spiral galaxy. The supermassive black hole at the center of Mu Nixoria is currently in a period of activity, causing some extremely high energy cosmic events and having an immense mass. The galaxy itself is relatively young, as it was still forming as of the Starsong Incident about 1 billion years ago. Due to this it is still slightly clustered into 'spirals', or arms, where stellar density per unit of space is much higher.
Due to its high stellar density, Mu Nixoria has a higher frequency of lava planets than that of the average Fortran galaxy. This makes it fairly valuable because of the sheer amount of valuable metals to be obtained from these planets, but little life has been recorded in Mu Nixoria. This is likely because of the higher frequency of lava planets. Some lifeforms have evolved for these conditions, but this is more rare than life on more 'habitable' planets. Due to this, there are fewer resistive native populations, but their civiilzations have far more natural resources within reach. These natives will often still try to defend themselves and their resources, fighting any major faction that arrives in their galaxy.
