Movori Human
Race: Human
Ethnicity: Movori (mow-VOR-ee)
Physical Description: Darkly tanned skin and dark brown or black hair
Background: The Movori are the survivors of what was once the most advanced and powerful human civilization in the history of Raios, the Movorian Empire. The Movori may have possessed magical knowledge that surpassed that of the Valmyrri elves. Historians claim that abuse of this great magical knowledge may have been what triggered the Great Cataclysm. The Great Cataclysm, centered on the area of the Movorian Empire, blasted a vast region into absolute ruin. An utterly dead wasteland now occupies the Great Movorian Desert, where only the sleepless dead now walk. The few surviving Movori have no homeland and are permanent refugees scattered in seaports across Raios. Due to their magical and sorcerous heritage, the Movori people are feared and mistrusted by most other races.
Language: Movoran. This language differs in significant ways from Ancient High Movoran which is a relict language that has not been spoken or written since the Great Cataclysm.
