Tinwetari

Pronunced: tin-WET-tar-ee

Titles: Goddess of the Stars and Creation, Mother of the Gods

Divine Rank: Primal Goddess

Position: Tinwetari was the third divine being to be created and the first that was made of light. She is the mother and creator of all stars and planets, and her creations fill the universe with light. Tirelessly she molds the universe by subtly shifting the movement of newly created suns so that over long eons, their intricate orbits move harmonically to form new galaxies. With billions of suns to manage, Tinwetari seldom ever finds time to pay much attention to what is happening on a singular world she has created. Rather, her focus on the big picture of creation leaves little time for worlds she has already created, leaving her a remote Goddess who seldom troubles herself about the events transpiring on Raios.

Appearance: Tinwetari is depicted as an attractive female who is so large that her form encompasses large parts of the galaxy. Her shape if made of the very stars that she created.

Backstory: Tinwetari was the third and last of the primal greater gods to come into being. At a time when the universe was dark, Tinwetari was created by Aaa, God of Time and Space. Unbeknownst by Aaa, Dkarmun the Primal Greater God of Entropy and Chaos, managed to introduce an element of chaos into the creation, resulting in Tinwetari becoming the first being made of light matter. Soon afterward, Tinwetari began a magical weave that resulted in the creation of the first sun. Liking what she birthed she began to create sun after sun until the first galaxy was formed. From here she decided to create planets to circle her suns, and then to create moons to circle the planets. Since then, Tinwetari has been busy with creating stars, planets, and moons all over the universe.

Dogma, Clergy, Temples: he clergy of Tinwetari are few in number, as are her temples. Her absorption with creating new stars and worlds has left her little time to deal with followers. Her powers are such that she has little need for followers and clergy. Being the creator of so much of the universe means that she has been instrumental in setting the destiny and eventual fates of all she created. Her temples are typically found on high ground in cities. The temple locations always have clear and unobstructed views of the night sky. All services and rituals are performed under the stars on nights when they are clearly visible. All of Tinwetari’s temples include observatories. Her clergy are well schooled on the stars and planets in the night sky and use them to divine portents of the future.

Tenets: The clergy seldom involve themselves in the everyday affairs where their temples are situated. They take a long view and have little interest in day-to-day happenings.

Paladin Code: Tinwetari does not have paladins.

Sects and Cults: Many small secret sects have sprung up in locations of temples that purport to be able to divine the future using the location and movements of the planets and stars. While they may be regular followers of Tinwetari, few of these sects follow the full tenets of her teachings.
