This powerful and ancient vampire has a rather mundane life compared to the many centuries she has been around. She is a teacher at Manalith Academy and is the matron of a Dryad Grove just off campus. History is her main subject as she has lived through much of it herself. Even with her fragmented memory she knows more than pretty much everyone else. The students have described her as being kind and motherly, though just about everyone except other vampires are afraid to talk to her. When she is even slightly annoyed her overwhelming aura can frighten most people.

Not a whole lot is known about Dusk in the centuries before this time. She was found in an Obsidian Coffin under a church in St. Augustine. Her memory is very fragmented. She remembers living in Ancient Greece, her original Dryad Grove being threatened by [REDACTED]. She made a deal with [REDACTED], was forcibly converted to Vampirism and was exiled from her grove despite saving it.

She spent many centuries after wandering until [REDACTED]. Even later in history, she was part of a group sent to take down [REDACTED] but they were all burned to ashes with only her bones remaining. Her remains were placed in the Obsidian Coffin and buried in 1680. She woke up about two hundred years later in 1880 with her memories missing.

She spent several decades wandering after this. Dryads feared her, but Vampires were indifferent. Because of this, she served the Strixia and then the Anagi Clans for the next 70 years. During the 1950's, she rejoined the DDDF and used her abilities to fight off numerous threats to the world. In the 1970's, she became a teacher at Manalith and planted a Mother Tree just off campus, starting a new Dryad Grove and becoming its Matron. She still does work for the DDDF, more than most people know.

Dusk's first interaction with the Drakes was during World War II with Cyrus Drake, an American commando that was involved with stopping the Goddess Leto during The Werewolf Riots of 1942. Cyrus was recruited into the DDDF after the war around the same time Dusk re-joined. A few years later, Cyrus invited Dusk to his wedding. Dusk used to always be cold and distant and people kept her at arm's length. Cyrus however treated her like a person, not some scary shadow monster, which helped greatly to soften her demeanor over the years.

In 1994, She was a Guardian for the brothers Bill and Jack on a simple recovery mission of a Shard of Zeus. Things quickly went downhill when the vessel broke but the brothers and Dusk were able to neutralize the threat. She was somewhat of a mentor of the two in the years after. Bill and Jack both went on to marry an agent in the foundation (Bill wed Charlotte and Jack wed Arianne), and Dusk was invited to their weddings too. She even watched their kids on a few occasions. Remi still sometimes calls her "Aunty Lycoris".
