Thomas Smith

The God Khepri was said to roll the sun across the sky in the oldest of times. The first humans who worshipped Khepri were granted a small sliver of his power, the aspect of the beetle, and assisted him in fighting ancient evils as he guided the sun. Khepri was also said to be an earlier manifestation of the Sun God Ra, who also guided the sun across the sky, but by the time Ra came into existence, Khepri's folk had left Egypt and scattered across the Sahara and further south.

Fast forward many thousands of years, descendants of Khepri's folk can be found all over the world. Thomas Smith is one such person. The ability to call on Khepri's power has been dormant for many hundreds of years, and it isn't going to be activated anytime soon by Thomas, at least he assumes so. He is more concerned about his future in baseball anyways, and is consistently ranked as one of the best high school players in the nation. He'll also play football in the fall, but that isn't his focus.

Thomas received a baseball scholarship at Manalith and within a month of starting school there, was already tired of the endless politics and positioning between all the students. Vampires, Elemental, Werewolves... it was all quite annoying. During his first year, he had to humble a particularly annoying Strixia vampire who kept looking down on him. When the fight broke out, Thomas knocked him out with a single punch. Due to many Bloodlines having an unhealthy respect for strength and power, this action made Thomas quite a popular student, even though he doesn't care for it.

Academically Thomas does quite well. Having no magical ability at all, he has a wavier that allows him to skip taking magic classes like Auramancy. When not studying or practicing baseball, Thomas can often be found in the boy's common room, relaxing and playing cards.
