Vales of Horakh-Dhrum
The Vales of Horakh-Dhrum are made up of the many mountains south of the Hunolduran Plains. Believed to be the birthplace of all Dwarves, the Vales are a revered land to both Dwarvenstone and Dwarvensun. From deep within the mountains of the Vale, the Orimid Empire reigns, their many thousand year history carved deep within the walls of their hidden cities.
Geography
The Mountain Ranges of The Vale
Cities carved from the mountain depths are considered by the Dwarves who inhabit them to be as children of the mountains, and as so, each city is given a title relating to the mountain range they were carved from. As the city of Nar Ulihm was carved from the depths of the Kharad Thurn, so then the city's full name is Nar Ulhim, Born Of Thurn. Cities above ground such as the conquered cities of Nar Daruhl or Nar Wohrum share this title, being above ground settlements.
Kharad-Orom
It is within the mountains of the Kharad-Orom that the Orimid Empire first started.
Kharad-Thurn
The Kharad Thurn hold the cities of Nar Ulihm and Lost Dirlodur.
Kharad-Oud
The Kharad-Oud which was gifted from the Orimid Empire to the Dwarves of Thogboldan following their help during the wars of Benalon I Ulanala.

Fauna & Flora
The Valefor Hawk is a bird of prey found nesting across the mountaintops of the Vales.
Although few in number, Dragons fly low through the vale at incredible speed scanning the horizon for prey. The Dragons of the Vale are known to grow as large as a war ship and whose wingspans can cast shadow over entire villages as they fly overhead. It is said that before Age of Their Creation, when the Dwarves were still a young race, Dragons were plentiful across the Mainland and it was because of this that the Dwarves took to digging their cities inside the mountains.
While attacks on the civilized races are rare, with teeth as large as a grown man's torso, attacks by dragons are often unreported as little remains of their attack save for upturned carriages or abandoned carts still holding their goods.
