Khim Darohm Coast
The Khim Darohm Coast is a rugged, mist-laden land bridge that serves as the crucial link between the human-dominated lands of Kirshall to the west and the Hunolduran Plains, where both Aelven and Dwarven settlements thrive, to the east. Bordered to the north by the stormy waters of Garibald Bay and to the south by the vast Lake Darohmar, the land bridge is the last solid ground before reaching the jagged, mountainous region known as The Claw of Groz Darohm further south.
With a cool, temperate climate, the coast is blanketed in thick coniferous forests, with towering cliffs marking its shoreline. Frequent rainfall nourishes the land, making it rich in timber and mineral wealth, both of which fuel the ambitions of the Toggul Merchant Republic, which dominates the region. The Khim Darohm Coast is a land of both opportunity and peril, as merchants, travelers, and warbands alike navigate the trade route that follows the Conqueror's Path, ever wary of the shifting political and economic tides controlled by Toggul's oligarchs.
Geography
Goldspine Cliffs
A dramatic stretch of towering seaside cliffs along the northern edge of the land bridge, overlooking Garibald Bay. These cliffs are rich in veins of gold and other precious minerals, making them a prime asset for the Toggul Merchant Republic. The region is dotted with fortified mining towns and cliffside trade ports, where goods are shipped to and from the wider world. Despite its wealth, the Goldspine Cliffs are treacherous, with frequent landslides, harsh storms rolling in from the bay, and pirate raids from nearby Mistharbor that threaten unguarded shipments.
The Darohmwood
A dense, mist-laden coniferous forest that covers much of the central land bridge, stretching between Lake Darohmar and the inland trade roads of the Conqueror's Path leading east. The Darohmwood is the heart of the region’s timber industry, supplying high-quality lumber to both the human markets in the west and dwarven markets in the east. It is however, also rife with dangers, as ancient Orcish ruins have become home to bandits making base within their depths. Many merchants prefer to hire dwarven escorts when passing through, as the winding forest roads are easy to ambush.
The Straits of Marn Khazul
A narrow, rocky coastal region along the southern shores of Lake Darohmar, where the land bridge begins to thin before giving way to The Claw of Groz Darohm further south. This region is famous for its natural hot springs, deepwater caverns, and hidden smuggler routes. Once a strategic chokepoint during Benalon I Ulanala's wars of conquest , the Straits are now a hub for illicit trade, where merchants, mercenaries, and criminals alike conduct business outside the watchful eye of the Gilded Masters.
