The Most Sublime Thanedom of Bharbadihr

Do ye know why Bharbadihr is the best? Look out at our waters in the Gulf of Gulls, purest waters in the whole of the ocean, look at the Bhamram Isles themselves! All the coconuts you can eat, all the rum ya can drink! Aye, but we cannot live off of coconut and rum alone, not that I haven't tried... The fighting men need meat from Kirshall, the shipbuilders need their hardwoods from Ebura, The Thane needs his women from Ferran!
-Boatswain Mag of the Hoary Crone, Overseeing the offloading of goods after arrival

Originally founded as a haven for pirates during the Golden Age of Piracy, The Most Sublime Thanedom of Bharbadihr, also known as The Thanedom of Bharbadihr is a Dwarven Kingdom located on the Bhamram Isles off the coast of Kirshall.

Heraldry

History

Founding (305-515)

The Thanedom was founded in 305 by the Pirate Angorim Breakbow when he proclaimed himself as the Emperor of Stone And Sea.

Piracy During The Wars of Great Benalor (516-660)

Golden Age (661-757)

Following the collapse of Great Benalor, led by Bharban Redbeard, the Thanedom would enter into a golden age where they were among the most prosperous of states from the Sea of Spiced Winds to the Tourmaline Sea. With the passing of Bharban Redbeard, his son and heir, Bharban II (Who would be known as Bharban The Great) the Golden Age would expand as the dwarves capitalized on the troubles facing Kirshall and nearly all flow of spices needed to be passed through Dwarven Hands as the Kirshallan kingdoms would not dare to deal with the Rudoran Kingdom they saw as collaborators with the Aelves.

The Golden Age would begin to wane with the establishment of the Irinoffin colony of New Khirina and the diminished relevance of spices from Immrion. The Golden age would be concluded with the death of the Bharban The Great.

The Reign of the Three Foul Thanes (758-915)

The death of Thane Bharban The Great and the ascension of his appointed heir, Forin would mark a grave turning in the fortunes of Bharbadihr. The reign of Forin and the following two Thanes would be referred to as the Reign of the Three Foul Thanes.
