Venviri
Not a single Trash Planet in the Milky Way can compare to the toxic wastelands of Venviri. No planets dares claim Venviri as its own; the lack of resources and the level of danger the flora, fauna, geography, and climate of this planet has meant not a single organisation has even attempted to acquire Venviri.
The rights to Venviri belong to just a single man, Elis Episiol. An entitled heir to an inter-galactic business empire, Elis demanded just one thing from his father - his very own personal planet.
Elis is exceptionally proud of Venviri, falsely citing it as the most impressive planet in the Milky Way. He is attempting to transform the planet into a place for people to thrive, all while ruling it with an iron fist. Sadly, those two are not compatible.
Geography, Location & Climate
The steel mountains and sulphur deserts are the most iconic regions of Venviri. They take up much of the planets land. The steel mountains are a series of highly magnetic mountains all morphed into a super mountain range, stretching many thousands of miles. Entire mountains repel or attract one another, constantly switching their magnetic fields. As a result the land is completely unstable and impossible to traverse safely.
Elisian Kingdom
The Elisian Kingdom is a massive domain in the steel mountains. The entire region is Elis's home, with an artifial atmosphere allowing him to safely breathe without relying on a ventilation system. The sulphur deserts are just as treacherous, if not more. The flammable sands set alight spontaneously, with gaseous secretions from subterreanean vents releasing a noxious air into the atmosphere. This air released from beneath the surface is high in oxygen, which reacts with sulphur to cause great flames.
The southern hemisphere sees frequent volcanic activity. The blood-red region is littered with lakes made of bloodlava, a mixture of both lava and blood. Bloodlava shares a similar thickness and texture to tar, except blood red and far hotter.
The oxygen-rich caves below Venviri's surface are a ticking time bomb. As the fragile surface cracks, more and more of this gas emerges and ignites the sulphur rich sands. Larger bursts of oxygen can create firenados, when swirling winds grab a hold of these flames.
Subterranean rainforests have creeped above the surface in a handful of equatorial regions. Mostly comprised of carnivorous plants, organisms in this rainforests never stop fighting each other for a chance at survival. Colonies of sessile organisms band together due to a natural, uncontrollable instinct, forming what is referred to by Elis as an empiric arcology.
History
Venviri is one of the oldest planets in the Kurhira System, at almost eleven billion years old. Over its lifetime it has morphed from a global desert, to an oceanic planet with floating rainforests, to a tropical paradise, and finally to the toxic mess it is now.
In its previous forms Venviri has been owned by countless empires across the Milky Way. For a thousand years it was under the ownership of planet Cirxeva, extracting crude oil from when it was once a global ocean.
Have you seen the way that guy treats his robot maids? Disgusting. Treats them as if they're slaves. I'm pretty sure they have built in emotions, as well. Honestly I'm glad he lives on a planet as toxic as himself. I heard whenever he would tour his dad's company's factories, he would take the piss out of all the floor workers and intentionally fuck up the machines so they would get punished. Absolute twat.
An asteroid strike and subsequent mass extinction caused a great geological and ecological shift. The atmosphere warped into something much more poisonous, the lands and oceans following suit. Organisms were forced to adjust to these climates, those highly specialised quickly dying out, leaving the more amorphous, adaptable organisms to dominate.
Ever since this mass extinction, Venviri has gone unclaimed. Any valuable resources the planet had to offer have disappeared, either harvested or destroyed. No other planet had any interest in claiming what is essentially a liability, until very recently.
Antan Episiol, founder and president of Mechtrex Enterprises, is known for his somewhat selfish leisurely endeavours. Often purchasing entire planets for private vacations, his uptight son and heir to the company demanded a planet of his own. Unwilling to let his son down, Antan acquired the rights to Venviri and granting the globe to his son.
Venviri is now the sole property of Elis Episiol, and he has begun a grand terraforming project deep within the Steel Mountains. In an effort to build a prosperous, thriving city completely under his rule, Elis has flattened more than five hundred square kilometres, and will not stop until every last mountain becomes rubble.
Ecology
This planet is home to an incredible array of unusual creatures. Few are highly adapted to specific climates; most creatures on Venviri are tough, able to survive in all manner of conditions.
Sludgeworm are one such creature, found across the globe but particularly around the sulphur deserts. They filter nutrients out of sand and soil, as well as using the filtering brushes extending from their shell to catch aeroplankton.

I bet at least the hotels are cheap here. Nasty place, really. Makes you wonder why even the scientists bother. Then again... I like how the dominant chemicals influence the ecosystem, in this case sulfur.
Glad you find this place nasty, that's exactly what I was going for xD Scientists bother because of all the valuable resources, especially crude oil. This planet is a gold mine for finite resources on other planets, which are abundant here!
