Serukian Caverns
The Serukian Caverns are a series of complex tunnels tracing the route of mycelial growth underneath the Serukian Shroom. The mycelial metraphite morphotype call these tunnels home; around a mile underground the earth opens up into grandiose caverns, majestic buildings carved out of rock and soil.
Terraforming of these caverns has greatly weakened the land the Serukian Shroom stands upon. Minor tremors follow every city expansion, concerning city officials and citizens alike.
Geography, Location & Climate
Hyphaura
Hyphaura is the underground city filling the Serukian Caverns. Built on the mycelium, it is the most densely populated settlement on Ivucarro, with more than two million inhabitants in just twenty square kilometres. The Serukian Shroom itself perches atop a large plateau deep within the Prismatic Fields. This megashroom doesn't share the bedazzled properties of its region, instead it stands like a golden statue, giving the local atmosphere an alluring golden hue.
The mycelial infrastructure underneath the mushroom is what forms these caverns. Thick white roots tear through the ground causing existing caverns to collapse in on each other, creating even larger caves.
These gigantic caverns are illuminated with glowing plants and bioluminescent algaes floating in the air. Thick mosses, lichens, and vines cling to the walls, concealing tunnels leading to deeper caves.
