Update Log

Welcome to my update log! This is public, though the big purpose in it is for me to keep track of my own progress. I'll be posting an update as long as I work on the Willowmoor series - whether that means writing in the stories or building the world. If I should take considerable time off from either, I'll also make a point to add an update that explains why.

Since the most recent update is always at the top, to get the chronological scope, one would have to go all the way to the bottom of the page and scroll back up.

Month of Merriment 2025

木.18 | It has grown apparent to me that I am ready for a break from Willowmoor. I'm not sure when I'll be back to spend time with this series, but there will likely not be new entries since I am going to have a general journal for all of my work that you can eventually find here.

日.7 | We're a week into the month and I have not even wanted to look at my Willowmoor series. T_T I still love it, but I'm ready to spend time in a different world. Will I be back here at all even for World Ember? That remains to be seen...

Month of Fire 2025

月.3 | Wrote 2,761 words in Book IV! I also did some work to my World Ember Homework page, though not enough since it's still not ready to go live yet. I opted to work on the novel instead of finishing. Priorities! ^^V

日.2 | Wrote 13,732 words in Book IV! Sadly, didn't update in the word counter today so my overview is going to be off all month as if I wrote a ton of words on the 3rd and nothing on the 2nd. -_-;

土.1 | Kicked off both NovelEmber and World Ember Prep! Only one page is live because I focused most of my Willowmoor energy on writing 5,508 words in Book IV.

Month of Preparation 2025

金.31 | Happy Hallows Eve! ^^ Got a rudimentary map up, reread the Book III epilogue, prepped my NovelEmber 2025 page and kept myself PSYCHED for my November project! Halloween is fun, but I am ready to turn the calendar to the Month of Fire! \*0*/

木.30 | Published my 13th and final Spooktober prompt: The Hollows! \^^/

月.27 | Published my 12th Spooktober prompt: The Watchers in the Woods. One more to go!

日.26 | Got stuck on timelines and calendars today! Planning to get the map wrapped up this week with my last two Spooktober prompts. ^^V

土.25 | Joined the NovelEmber prep stream and worked on my own NovelEmber story outline. I forbade myself from touching the map because I had family over and it would have been rude to shut myself away for hours at a time while they were here. >_> One thing I did finally decide upon was a more permanent name for the narrator, who has been known as a number of names from Keeley to Lena to Raleigh to Rhea and I finally settled on Keilah. There's more to say on it, but I've already rambled a lot for this log that's supposed to be strictly quick updates. I guess sometimes I will have a bit more to say! ^^; Of course, this means I have to go through and change her name everywhere AGAIN and this time it's all over WA so...gonna be a chore. =_=

金.24 | Worked on articles and organizing + published my eleventh prompt: Davidtown Militia. I also signed up for Inkarnate and finally started working on my map! Expect the rudimentary version to debut on here tomorrow. I'm too tired to finish it up tonight. =_=

月.20 | Published my eighth and ninth Spooktober prompts: "Brooding Leader" and Week of Mourning. Also worked on character articles.

日.19 | Finished Book III read-thru + organizing characters and timelines! I feel accomplished, and I'm going to knock out at least 3 prompt articles tomorrow now! \^^/

土.18 | Finished Book II read-thru, now onto Book III (same purpose)...tomorrow. But I'll finish it tomorrow! ^^V

金.17 | Still Book II read-thru + organizing character articles and lists. Good news: it's the weekend, so I should finish this project tomorrow! Tonight I was just too doggone tired. =_=
