Reading Challenge 2025
8/2 ~ 8/31 or 2nd - 31st of the Month of Storms
Welcome to my Summer Camp Reading Challenge 2025 page! ^_^/"
As I stated on my Summer Camp 2025 page, this was only my second time participating in the Summer Camp challenge, but it was a much better experience because I actually tried to interact with my fellow campers! And I say that as someone who still thoroughly enjoyed it last time. You see, I have been terrified of making any of my worlds and writing public, but Summer Camp encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone and share a bit of vulnerability with my fellow Anvilites. ^^V
I also wrote more prompts than last time, so I'll go ahead and pat myself on the back for that, too. What I love is that a series I wrote a long time ago ended up getting some revisions solely because of the ideas I got out of the prompts!
Summer Reading
| The Reading | The Author |
|---|---|
| *ahem* "The Wine that Fueled the Mountain" That banger of a title drew me right in! I won't spoil the myth, but I especially liked what was left to the imagination. | BedrockCoffeeGaming |
| I think it'd be fun to experience Tiki Drunkenness at least once in my life as long as I had a sober buddy to take care of me if things went south! Fun idea, fun read! | SableAradia |
| Iphine, the Allmother, is a creator goddess worshipped across species, and I love that idea! | Rashkavar |
| I love a good origin story for humanity, so I enjoyed reading about Hearth Home ! Well-thought-out article with a quote near the end that gave me a good chuckle. | Wraithgard565 |
| I thoroughly enjoyed reading about The Tongue of Elarae - especially the list of fantastic idioms! I would love to share one here, but I want you to go read the full list for yourself. ^_~ | Autumn Fae |
| I chose to read about The Threading War because the name drew me in, and it was such a detailed article that I found myself curious about the rest of the world! | Mila TheBookWorm |
| I love the idea for Delta Trading Post , and the author used such descriptive writing that I was sucked right in! It made me curious about the people who live there... | Melissa White |
| I was curious enough about the name The Winding White , and then I learned it's a river!? Fantastical! Another one that made me curious about the people who live there! | Mardrena Lockehart |
| I simply couldn't bypass so grand an idea as Destruction of a Solar System ! What a fun read, and the author was able to make a truly catastrophic event something manageable for their world, so I found that impressive! | Mochimanoban |
| The Cosmetics Guild originally called to me because of the beauty of its page, and then the article intrigued and inspired me! Yet another that would compel me to explore the world further. | Siobhanthewriter |
I'll summarize my reading journey by saying that my fellow Anvilites are some incredibly talented writers and world builders! Each article had something unique to offer, and they all inspired me for my own world building in one way or another. I'm glad I decided to participate in this part of the Summer Camp challenge this year because I've gained some new perspectives and learned about some wonderful Worlds that I otherwise wouldn't have. ^_^
World Building Resolutions - 2nd Half of the Year
"To our friend, Mayor Seymour Tort: the village of Willowmoor is pleased to share that we have arrived at our home, and our buildings are being raised as I speak..."
I am hesitant to stay in Willowmoor through the remainder of the year only because I can never stick with one project for so long. That said, I am still excited about the rewrite I'm doing of the original trilogy, and the further I get in that, the more I want to work on the stories that come after! So, I'm going to keep Willowmoor the main focus with one non-Willowmoor resolution to give myself an out should I need it. ^^;;
Re-imagine the whole Willowmoor Series website. I have done this twice over the course of Summer Camp, but I'm not satisfied!Get the map working; there are only a couple of locations to concern myself with right now, so that shouldn't be too difficult!
Complete as many Character articles as possible! And when I say "complete", I mean to include pictures and quotes.
Finish the Willowmoor trilogy rewrite! Not a world building goal, but it will certainly encourage me in my world building...
And if I get bored of Willowmoor... I have the conditional resolution to flesh out another of my projects and make it public! ^^V

Thank you so much for featuring one of my articles! I'll admit, it was a bit of a throwaway article, but knowing you enjoyed it, I'm really excited to work hard on it after the Summer Camp Ceremony! <3 Good luck with your post-SC goals! :D
Knowing it was a throwaway makes it more impressive! ^_^ Good luck with your post-SC goals as well!
