The Willowmoor Series

2nd day of the Month of Storms

Created by

When the 21st century world is nearly bombed to oblivion, a group of survivors must figure out how to build a community with each other as they endure the hardships of the post-apocalyptic world. They flee an arena after taking shelter for months, live it rough on the road for several more months, and eventually find the forested paradise in the north that becomes the site of their beloved village, Willowmoor.

That's just one set of stories in the Willowmoor series. That one tells the tale of a new society's beginnings, introducing those who would end up shaping it the most: Adam and Rhea. He becomes an esteemed head of state for the burgeoning civilization while she leaves her compassionate mark on the poorest of Willowmoor's citizens.

The two of them as a couple carry the series into its second set of stories when Willowmoor evolves from a modest village, hidden away in a dense forest, to a thriving center of idea and industry in a world that's grown slightly. New settlements are forming, and the beginnings of new nations will be seen. Adam, Rhea, and the other characters are not spared from transforming either, though not all will change for the better.

The final set of stories takes us a couple of hundred years into the future. What has Willowmoor and the nation around it become? What remnants can be found of the village's founding for those with eyes to see them? Which historical details have been preserved, which have been lost, and which have been...manipulated? Is Willowmoor thriving? If it is, is it doing so in good conscious? If it's not thriving, what were the conditions that led to their misfortune?

That's the best I can do for a synopsis of my Willowmoor series, and it's a work in progress, like you'll find this World to be. At present, I'm rewriting the original trilogy that details the early days of the survivors' journey and establishment of Willowmoor, so most of the pages will fall more in line with that timeline. Some will allude to the future or seem firmly written in it. There are also Timelines I'm dissatisfied with, but I digress...

The most coherent pages right now are easily my Summer Camp 2025 submissions and many of their associated (linked within) articles since I have thrust them into a spotlight, so I took extra care with them! Many of the pages will be fluid as I'm making tweaks with my rewrite of the story, and there are places where I exchange the past and future tense in ways that might be confusing. It's a public Work In Progress! ^^V

To end the introductory ramble, everything here is in flux, from the resolutions of some plot points to the names of major characters. I suppose this is because I'm a writer first and a world builder second. And I say that as someone who loves world building.

So, whether you poke around or politely mosey on your way, thank you for visiting! ^^/
