Zodia

Zodia is a large planet bearing a radius of 25,000 miles around & having many biomes like scorching deserts, mountains and fjords, sunlit lakes & grasslands, primeval forests etc. Each and every land of zodia has an underground twisting network of caves & tunnels rivaling the size of the continent itself home to hostile denizens of zodia who venerate malevolent gods. Ever since the Great Calamity the two mega-continents of the planet split into a series of smaller continents being split into 4 elemental junctions by the zodians dividing the lands between the clergies in the Zodiac Seas.   Pyrona is the junction to the north owned by the fire churches the Sun Church, Crimson Church, & Nature Church together called the "Inferno Lord's Alliance". Cascade is the junction to the south owned by the water churches the Moon Church, the Scarlet Church, & the Ocean Church together called the "Ocean Lords Alliance". Zione is the junction to the east owned by the earth churches the Mountain Church, the Crystal Church, & the Purity Church together called the "Stone Lord's Alliance". Ventus is the junction to the west owned by the air churches the Sky Church, Scale Church, & the Soul Church together called the "Sky Lord's Alliance".

Zodia has a multitude of special phenomenon like the sun's molten matter being emitted and crashing onto the world like meteors, the moon becoming a blood red & augmenting lunar curses and dark power like blood bending, powerful windy storms and tornadoes would show up in ventus, volcanic eruption would frequently occur under the seas of zione making islands, while spontaneous crossings have become more and more rare they have the chance to occur anywhere on zodia.

Zodia is home to thousands of species of flora & fauna some most magical others having natural abilities that mirror magic.

Zodia bears a multitude of natural resources that the zodians use to their advantage growing in power and influence using gold as currency, steel for weapons and armor, as well as ether for elemental technology, ECT.

Origin

  Before Zodia was controlled by the Zodiac Empire it was much different called Divonis, the lands where 2 mega-continents named Photonis & Umbronis home to two races of ancient ones the seraphim & eidolons. These two races once worked together worshiping Zelgius & Salem but these two races were cast into a 10,000 year long war ending in the destruction of their world shattering the world into many pieces and the technology of the seraphim & eidolons were lost to time.

The 2nd. Wave Of Life

  Centuries after the Great Calamity and life was ended on the planet it began to rise again during the Age Of Chaos when the gods absence & Salem's power plunged the cosmos into utter paracausal chaos. From the ashes of the nephilim came the humans who began to colonize the planet wondering of their origin and reason for existence although their freedom & civility was cut short by crossings made by chaos bringing many other planar creatures and taking humans to other realms.   These races brought fear & terror to the humans especially the Souless who ripped and teared through the people. The first dragons, the precursor dragons came to aid the humans driving the other races into hiding and the humans were so grateful that the dragons were crowned as heroic gods giving them worship and veneration.

The Great Flash & The Dawn War

  When the Great Flash occurred nearly ending all life in the cosmos through the stars all ending this inspired some humans of the light's power and wanted to use it to rule the world themselves and be free of the dragons. As two people found the Genesis Spark and found an infant in the plasmic mass of the spark the duo gained power from the spark and sparked the Dawn War with their power the dragons where ended and the Age Of Light was enacted.

The Age Of Light

  A prosperous era kept alive by the Ambyrnion Dynasty controlling all of the planet for hundreds of thousands of years cultivating a system where heat, light, & plasma were lionized and respected while water, cold, & death were demonized and shunned. As the age began to end the Ambyrnion Dynasty sought to extend their source of power through sacrifice with each one the spark's life was extended by 100,000 years and those sacrifices were changed & the decay of the spark gave rise to the undead hex that plagued the world. This couldn't persist forever and the same child found in the plasma ended the entire world and the age of light.

Age Of Dark

  The people were trying to readjust without the light and heat that they had & now that the Age Of Light was gone the soulless that were kept at bay resurfaced and attacked the survivors for years. The people had to defend themselves and their families growing in power and skill they eventually rediscovered spirit and miracles using them to defeat and push back the soulless.

The Era Of Zodia

  Years went by after the Age Of Dark and the zodians lived in harmony until the Soulleal came with their armies of cultists and true dragons plunging the planet into subjugation. During this time the zodiac gods hatched from their stasis and began the growth of their clergies making their spires to inspire other mortals to find the gods. 12 mortals came to the spires pledging themselves to the twelve zodiac gods and fought against the Soulleal growing the 12 clergies that forced out the Soulleal and dominate Zodia.

The Zodiac Civil War

  Years after the war against the Soulleal the Zodiac Civil War the clergies have been living together in harmony until the civil war between the clergies as the Sun Church called for the reunion of the gods remaking the god of order. The War was devastating with the Sun Church being the most powerful force during it; the other clergies fought hard but couldn't defeat the radiant angel church. The clergies couldn't defeat the sun church but the other gods purged their eldest brother of his corruption ending the civil war and forging the pact between the 12 churches birthing the Zodiac Empire.

The Era Of Zodia

  Thousands of years go by after the civil war other conflicts have sprouted & been resolved kingdoms & cities rise and fall but the most prosperous of all would be the forest city of Gardenia built by the paladin Sellfur the forger of the Will Of The 12 in a forest full of vigor making those who live there immortal augmenting life in the woodlands once corrupted by blight. The city of Gardenia managed to lure out the son of Salem Mephiles and through hardship and conflict the dark gods were finally laid to rest and Gardenia grew to become part of the Zodiac Empire taking the place of the Sky Lords Alliance.

Many other races and people of other worlds come to zodia devils come to tempt mortals, celestials come at times to defend others or simply doing a task their god has given them. When races of other planets come to zodia they do their best to conceal their origin and blend in to avoid their theocratic fervor spreading to their world.
