Ocean Elves
Ocean Elves also called "Deep Elves" are a type of elf that evolved from the Light Elves but adapted to underwater biomes. The Ocean Elves have prosperous lives under the seas in their underwater cities although they must keep it protected from the various entities in the ocean depths like Sahuagin and Krakens. These are very militaristic elves who fight tirelessly to keep their homes safe.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Ocean Elves have a blue complexion, portions of their arms, shoulders, and legs are covered in scales. Their hands and feet are webbed, they have webbed fins on many parts of their bodies, their calves, elbows, shoulders, & the left and right of their face. On their necks are gills that enable them to breathe underwater and the ability to handle harsh underwater pressure. Ocean Elves have more muscle mass than other elves due to the drag of the ocean.

The Ocean Elves have an innate connection to marine life being able to commune with them often forming bonds. They are able to breathe underwater due to their gills and are capable of handling extreme cold and underwater pressure. Ocean Elves have innate water based magic being able to shape water, make streams of water, & make powerful torrents.

Ocean Elves build their cities in underwater kelp forests and mountains carving large settlements from the hardened stone.

- Ocean Elves treat each other with respect and civility including the beasts they tame often referring to each other with their titles.
- When they hunt for food they always go for the quickest way to kill their prey to avoid unnecessary agony.
- Ocean Elves go out of their way to avoid hurting their environment by taking harm to avoid damaging it.

Ocean Elves wear very little clothes made of fish scales and kelp.
Culture and Cultural Heritage
As the ocean elves found a new home in the oceans of other worlds the elves sought to keep their home beautiful. The Ocean Elves became adjusted to hunting marine life changing their weapon style from swords to spears as they can easily avoid water resistance and plunge into the critical spots of their prey.
Due to the other hostile races that lurk in the seas the ocean elves have established a strong sense of community among each other and an isolationist society in their cities. 90% of the Ocean Elves worship Pisces due to not only her power but her preservation of oceans and their homeland.

Ocean Birth
- When Ocean Elves give birth it's a celebratory thing they always celebrate the pregnant elf is placed in a bed of coral & kelp and all sea elves celebrate the occasion.

- Ocean Elves don't go into the trenches as the monsters of the deep lurk there.
- Going to the surface is also taboo as surface dwellers aren't to be trusted.
- Ocean Elves find it disrespectful to the ocean to harm its environment and cause pain to marine life; those who do are often exiled.
History
The Ocean Elves descended from the Light Elves in Primal Heart deciding to leave due to the war that engulfed their land. Once they left Primal Heart they found their way into the oceans of various worlds wanting to keep each other safe and finding love in their new ocean homes decided to build their new settlements in the oceans. Through the underwater mountains, coral & kelp forests the ocean elves made their societies but soon found that the oceans were full of dangers from its fauna to the other races that inhabit the oceans the Sirens and the Sahuagin. These three races once locked in conflict to preserve the oceans however eventually the ocean elves & sirens decided to put their conflict aside to push back the Sahuagin condemning them to the trenches and forming the ocean pact between themselves.
The ocean elves also had the aid of other aquatic creatures such as Plasma Dragons that eat sharks and Sahuagin but have fought deadly ocean dragons capable of breathing torrents of salt water. Many ocean elves during the ocean pact found meaning in the patron goddess of the Sirens, Pisces Goddess Of The Seas, remaining loyal to her to this day. Ocean Elves remain a peaceful people that work for their settlements, nature, & families.

Pisces, Goddess Of The Seas
- The zodiac goddess of oceans and earthquakes and the patron goddess of the Ocean Elves. The Ocean Elves adore her for her preservation of oceans since it aligns with them.
Lady Faenya, The Ocean Queen
- One of the elven lords leading the ocean elves during the Raven War. Her power was vast, much higher than the other lords being able to call tsunamis and tidal waves. She made sure that her people could make their way to Alfheim sacrificing her life & her power being lost.

- Ocean Elves are thought to despise surface dwellers but they are simply not trusting of them.

Sirens
- Ocean Elves have an alliance with the Sirens as they both hate the Sahuagin as both attack their homes. Both races often visit each other and trade with one another.
Sahuagin
- Some of the most hated people to the Ocean Elves as they frequently raid their settlements and abduct their people.
Sea Dragons
- Dragons of the corro court sporting yellow scales & a salt water breath attack Sea Dragons have always been trying to exploit the ocean elves and sirens alike, wiping out settlements when they don't get their way. Sea Dragons are often hunted by Ocean Elves as large scale assaults occur on their homes and hunts for their offspring.
Plasma Dragons
- Dragons of the Ashla Court sporting bronze scales, and an electric breath weapon. These dragons are allies of ocean elves and sirens as they are good natured dragons, paragons of justice and frequently fight back Sea Dragons. They also aid in battles against Sahuagin as the shark people are a delicacy to the dragons.
