Snow Elves

Snow Elves have a bright blue complexion that makes them frigid to the touch but serves a survival purpose as their heat & heartbeat Is too small to be tracked. They can survive in cold environments without proper clothing or no clothing at all. Snow Elves seem to have Predatory Instincts always being on alert wherever they are.

Snow Elves have an innate affinity for magic like other elves although they have innate ice magic being able to make tools and weapons from ice, further honing this and collaborative efforts can control other things with cold imbued into it enabling the creation of snow elven settlements through the manipulation of boreal flora.   They have the ability to sense heat thermal or otherwise this trait is used for hunting and survallience around their homeland.

Snow Elves reproduce sexually & have a gestation period of 1 month usually having a single child sometimes twins.

Young Snow Elves are naive and are victim to their survival instincts avoiding heat, relentlessly hunting the heat in range of them ect. The young Snow Elves are frequently taken out on hunts with their parents.   Adult Snow Elves have control over their instincts and are capable of interaction with people and Animals without feeling an urge to kill. Old Snow Elves aren't hindered by their age but rather hold the most survival instinct & skill above their peers being loved & respected in their cities.

Snow Elves consume the frozen flora and fauna of their environments, usually rejecting food if it isn't cold. Snow Elves can go a long time without nutrition, about 1 month.

Snow Elves dwell in large cities made from boreal forest trees via innate magic. Their cities are led by the "Alpha Family" , the most skilled Snow Elven Family of the city with the eldest of the family leading it. The ability to fight, hunt, & survive are the greatest things to Snow Elves, sometimes they have hunting competitions between each other or other friendly cities.

Snow Elves are beloved by other civilized places for their knowledge of how to grow Snow Berries. They are sometimes hired for winter based expeditions.

Snow Elves live in Zodia & Alfheim typically in icy tundras and boreal forests.

Like other elves, snow elves have darkvision up to 60ft. seeing things in shades of blue. Snow Elves seem to be able to be completely aware of their frozen environment feeling uneasy in other warmer environments due to lack of cold.

To Snow Elves the more battle scars they have the more appealing they appear as scars means they have survived many battles.

When it comes to finding a mate to Snow Elves the most attractive trait is either defeat in combat or in hunting.

If a Snow Elf was in a relationship they where expected to hunt with their mate & it's frowned upon to hunt with another. Snow Elven couples are expected to watch each others back in hunting & to be careless in each others safety puts the relationship in question.

Snow elves aren't high technology wise, they are proficient in spears & bows which they use frequently through hunting and gathering. They farm although they would rather hunt for their food.   They make their cities out of the boreal forest they dwell in using a ritual that requires a lot of them to work. Snow elves also use beasts in their civilizations for hunting and defense winter wolves, & owlbears are frequently raised by snow elves.

Snow Elves usually go for a killing shot on their quarry for the first strike to stave off resource drain & not make the prey suffer. When defending their homes from invaders they are supposed to fire a warning shot to scare them off, usually there a more Snow Elf Archers if they don't get the hint.

Snow Elves dress light in the company of other races as clothing is something that sets them at ease although when in eachother's company & due to their abilty to handle the cold they wear no clothing at all.

The culture of Snow Elves is one mixed with survival & love for each other. Romance, love, & trust is a luxury when you are on the peak of death & one they don't take for granted, so when they forge a genuine bond they will not actively betray it, whether it be to a friend, lover, or offspring.

In times of trouble & uncertainty the Snow Elves won't each as they can go long times without food & can enter a hibernative state for 5 months hinding individual hiding spots to hide in.     When their loved ones perish they fire arrows into the sky as a salute to their brothers & sisters. The would also place snow flowers around the grave in a gorgeous display as well as made statues out f ice that last forever due to the cold they live in.

Overreliance on their innate magic as to a Snow Elf their magic is their flavor not focus those who only use their magic are seen as inexperienced and foolish. Slowly killing their prey & making them suffer is seen as cruel to Snow Elves as the killing part is hard enough but to prolong the pain is evil.   Making a person their Quarry in hunting unless sanctioned by the Alpha Family and even then they're expected to bring them alive.

Snow elves are descendants of the shade elves and therefore part of the Nychtan Court. They felt a spiritual pull to many things, the cold, the hunt, & most importantly each other. This gave them an innate care for one another and kept them together in a pack-like manner. Through this innate unison they survived many trials like on midgard during the raven war as they just wanted to dwell alone, together. They were the very few Factions to escape Odin's destructive campaign on Midgard through coordinated attacks & escape and with the sacrifice of an Alpha Family a crossing to Divonis was possible, granting them escape.   On zodia they found friend and foe in many races there from forest elves, to orcs. Eventually after a fight between snow elven factions got too severe a large population split into many smaller groups building cities as they saw fit.   Due to a lack of favorable environments they looked towards their high elven brothers for epic magic capable of changing climates although many high elves rejected aiding their tribalistic brothers making a divide between high elves & snow elves. They then went to their forest elven brothers to ask for aid in their nature magic but they wouldn't aid elves imbued with nature's death.   It seemed hopelessness to have many arctic climates & to have any faith in other elven subraces, until they learned a ritual that melds the surrounding area into forest based settlements giving them places to call home, & the reason to trust only in each other & not other elven subraces. They openly welcome other races as well as snow elves of other cities.
