Zodians

From the fall of the Ambyrnion Empire people on zodia were left wandering the dark, shambling for purpose while it was a slow and steady process to rebuild some semblance of peace and security the people of zodia managed. However what little they were able to make by themselves was stomped out by worshipers of Mephiles the zodians were subjected to horrible acts by the cultist until the twelve of the zodiac pantheon forged their spires guided mortals to them through loyalty to the twelve the zodians were able to find liberation. The Zodians rejoiced in the good gods and worship them to this day.

To reject the gods is to deny the cosmos the prosperity they can give those who refuse the gods are ignored by the zodians & zodians who forsake their gods are exiled.

It is believed that the twelve were once part of a greater being and through the rejoining of them the cosmos could find peace however this belief died during the Zodiac War the zodians agreeing to never pursue the rejoining of their gods.

Leo, God Of The Sun

Leo is the strongest of the zodiac pantheon, the one who commands the sun and therefore life on Zodia though he spends most of his time sleeping and commanding his siblings. Through his influence the Sun Church was founded during the dark ages leading the planet to liberation from the Order Of The Black Sun. He is worshiped by the Leonians as the absolute authority in the Zodiac Empire.

Aries, Goddess Of War

Aries is the sister of Leo and the mother of hell and its denizens. She is the goddess of war and violence her influence sparked the founding of the Crimson Church inspiring zeal & mettle in mortals to fight back against their oppressors. Aries is the mother of devils and demons although they weren't intended to be as manevolant as they turned out through Salem's corruption they are bloodthirsty and manipulative fiends.

Sagittarius, God Of Nature

Sagittarius is the god of nature being worshiped by the Asterians. Through his influence the Primal Church was founded, pushing back the cultist who threatened the land of Asteria through a bond between man & beast.

Cancer, Goddess Of The Moon

The goddess of the moon, kindness, and compassion Cancer can command the moon and other aspects of it. Through her influence the Lunar Church was founded inspiring her worshippers the lunalians to fight back against the Soulleal.

Scorpio, God Of Truth

The god of truth and death Scorpio is an intellectual god to the core often lacking emotional awareness and empathy despite this he is worshiped by the vanir who he inspired to fight back against the Soulleal. He adores knowledge of the dark variety believing that the light has limits and inspires his followers to seek the same knowledge and power.

Pisces, Goddess Of The Seas

The goddess of the waves and depths Pisces is an emotional goddess who cares for the ecosystems of the waters. Through her influence the Ocean Church was founded and her most trusted mortal Posiden pushed back the cultist who worshiped Salem.

Taurus, God Of Mountains

The god of mountains, strength, and endurance Taurus is a headstrong and stubborn god but none can question his adoration for mortals and want for them to be stronger. He is worshiped by the Valahir and through his influence founded the Mountain Church during the dark ages of zodia inspiring mortals to use their strength to push back the darkness that oppressed them.

Virgo, Goddess Of Purity

Virgo is a virtuous goddess of light & purity; she believes in the goodness that comes from the purity in others and abhors the darkness and corruptive forces. She is worshiped by the Asphodites and through her influence the Hagio Church was founded inspiring her worshippers to cast away the dark and bask in the warmth of her light.

Capricorn, Goddess Of Survival

Capricorn is a strict, tactical, & cunning goddess of crystals & survival; she believes heavily that people's strength is what makes them capable of survival and those who are incapable of strength are doomed to perish. She is worshiped by the Crystalians and through her influence the Crystal Church was founded inspiring her worshippers to be cutthroat survivalists who will live to see the end of days.

Aquarius, Goddess Of The Sky

The Goddess Of The Sky she is highly intelligent and powerful known to call forth almighty storms to destroy those who harm her. Like her brother Scorpio she is an intellectual goddess although she has more empathy than her brother, she is worshiped by the Olympians and through her influence the Sky Church was founded inspiring her worshippers to embrace the sky and gain knowledge of the light and serenity.

Libra, Goddess Of Justice

The goddess of justice and love Libra is a virtuous goddess who cares for all wishing to give all an equal footing in life. She is worshiped by the Magnir and through her influence the Scale Church was founded inspiring mortals to uphold justice and punish the wicked.

Gemini, God Of Duality

The god of duality Gemini is a spiritual god who wishes to balance light and dark. He is worshiped by the Thebians and through his influence the Soul Church was founded inspiring his followers to pursue the balance of power and forces in themselves.

Salem, Goddess Of Chaos

Salem is the goddess of chaos older than the zodiac pantheon and it was due to her influence that the Soulleal was founded thousands of years before the dark ages of zodia began. Because of her influence and the influence of her son the zodians suffered greatly as they were subjugated by the darkness. Salem for so long was seen as the root cause of the zodians suffering that everyone they lost was because of her. For thousands of years she was a symbol of hate and those who dared to worship her were executed.

Mephiles, God Of Fear

The son of Salem and the one who used her influence and image to influence the zodians and his mother's clergy to bring forth a wave of devastation to others. Mephiles is a cruel and manipulative god who used the dragons and his mom's clergy to bring the land closer and closer to gaining the power of All-Mother. Those who worshiped Mephiles were executed like those who worship his mother.

Silica, Queen Of Spiders

The patron goddess of all silican drow rising to power after she betrayed her father taking his power after being lured by darkness. She lead her people down a dark and treacherous path attacking zodians at night killing and enslaving their people putting them to work underground to remain enslaved or be painfully sacrificed. She and her followers are symbols of fear and hate for the zodians as her influence has lead to large amounts of bloodshed and pain.

Hyperion Sunsinger, The 1st. Sun

A solar archon who founded the Sun Church leading a rebellion against the Order Of The Black Sun. Hyperion was known as a virtuous warrior who wanted all to be blessed by the sun's light, someone who would still lay down his life for others. He perished during the Sun War leaving leadership of the sun church to his eldest son Helios.

Helios Sunsinger, The 2nd. Sun

The second ruler of the sun church took charge after the death of Hyperion. While not as strong as his father he is as virtuous and caring acting as ultimate authority over the other clergies allowing them to govern themselves stepping in to stop another worldwide conflict amongst each other.

Eris Hellraiser, The Lady Of Strife

The original founder of the Crimson Church being inspired by Ares to go to war against the darkness and liberate her people. She was a powerful archon who never faltered in battle until she was finally slain in battle leaving leadership of the Crimson Church to her brother Ariesium.

Aresium Hellraiser, The Crimson King

The second leader of the Crimson Church and the one to finish his sister's work of liberating their people. He is known as a powerful and brutal warrior who wouldn't let a single cultist of the dark gods. He and his people made many machinations for war and conflict being seen as a warmonger by the other zodians but his people remain loyal to the rest.

Apollo Acadis, The Blue Hunter

The one who founded the Primal Church alongside his wife Artemis the two through Sagittarius's influence an unbreakable bond between man & beast was forged and the cultists were purged from Asteria.  

Hades Thanomir, The King Of The Dead

Hades Thanomir is the founder & leader of the Scarlett Church and by extension the vanir people. He founded the Scarlett Church during the Great War fighting off the Soulleal with his new found necromancy using the undead to save his people and others followed suit. He is known as the first and only Belnor given the form by Hades, he is known for his preservation of the undead keeping them as vanir and pushing for their rites to be seen as people.

Selene Latmus, The Lunar Queen

Selene Latmus is the leader and founder of the Lunar Church blessed with immortality by Cancer for her efforts. She is known as a kind and compassionate person like her goddess and enacted the "Lunar Embrace Decree" to redeem those who once basked in the darkness.

Poseidon Corinth, The Ocean King

Poseidon is the founder and leader of the Ocean Church blessed with immortality by Pisces for his work. He is known as the strongest hydromancer on Zodia able to make tidal waves, tsunamis, and earthquakes as well as command the legendary Hippocampi to the Zodian Poseidon is the physical embodiment of the oceans might. None could harm Oceanus due to their king and through him the waves remain safe for the planet.  

Atlas Stone, The King Of The Mountains

The founder and leader of the Mountain Church made during the Great War to fight back the Soulleal. He was unstoppable on the battlefield leading his people to fight using his stone skin and hammer to feel those who threatened his people.

Phobos Sevri, The Crystal King

The founder and leader of the Crystal Church made during the Great War to fight back against the Soulleal using his crystal miracle to kill scores of cultists. He comes off as cruel and heartless but follows Capricorn's dogma to make life stronger so they don't suffer.

Aerafel Meadowna, The Shining One

The founder and first leader of the Hagio Church controlling the asphodells for thousands of years alongside his wife Physis. Aerafel was known for his devotion to Virgo and the light as a whole having a history of preserving it through any means necessary being responsible for ordering the genocide of the goblins and attempted genocide of the fiends. Despite his angelic prejudice he held close to his principles and was adored by the asphodells for his devotion to the cause. It's because of his idea of purity that his people have a reputation of being extremely prejudice, his idea of purity lead to the genocide of the goblins on zodia, the near extinction of the Cerberus, & causing tension between his people, the vanir and Spartans that almost lead to war.

Rezyl Meadowna, The Prince Of Light

The younger brother of Aerafel more benevolent than his older brother thought of as too weak to rule. Raziel wasn't going to let his opinions of his people keep him down or the people of the slums becoming a secret vigilante to aid the people in any way he could. Upon the death of his brother and sister in law he took control of the Hagio Church and became the new leader of the asphodelians alongside his wife Demeter trying to rebrand the Asphodites.

Zeus Amalthea, The King Of The Heavens

The founder and leader of the Sky Church during the Great War. Zeus's power over the sky is unmatched, able to make lightning storms and tornadoes. His power of the Sky Church has led to many other zodian cultures being aided in diplomatic endeavors & in warfare.

Nephele Conia, The Cloud Queen

The founder and leader of the Soul Church made during the Great War to liberate her people from the Soulleal using the darkness and light to push back evil. She is the one who first began to use teleportation networks giving the other clergies inspiration. While her intelligence and spirit she has made a utopia where all can live where those born of light & dark can coexist.

Themis Erona, The Queen Of Justice

The founder and leader of the Scale Church embracing wind and justice to push back the Soulleal. With her combat prowess and angelic might she led her people to victory after a long war. Her influence made people who work tirelessly to uphold justice and punish the wicked.

Venea Ashido, The Dragon Mother

A human arc transmuter who existed during the dark ages of zodia her family leaving their original home due to a conflict. For the longest time during the dark ages she hid away in her castle ignoring the plight of the people who struggled in villages & towns as her family was killed due to the fear of magic not wanting to help those who act civilized when it's easy. She was known for her obsession with the draconic seeking immortality through their magic and cells. Years later due to her friendship with Pibion she decided to aid others through the use of transmutation and draconic magic founding House Ashido and working on saving dragons from their own design.

Nastrolog Ashido, The Dragon King

Once a common skull dragon that was found by Nurvareem as set to be her consort and end the zodians. Through Venea he was able to change his alignment and fight back Mephiles due to this the "Scale Shift" occurred and rid dragons of their pre-existing morality later leading House Ashido and working towards keeping dragons on the right path.

Pibion Olgrim, The Gunslinger

A human gunslinger who was well known as a legendary hero gaining fame during the dark ages using his skills as a mercenary then shifting his focus to hero work, feeling like his skills would be better used for the good of others. He was known to slay many creatures from bandits, to trolls, Ogres, orcs, and dragons with his revolvers Af & Hemah he was unstoppable. He was known to gain the affection of many women of various races eventually from his conquests his other Olgrim children were born who followed in their father's footsteps after he sacrificed himself to stop a crisis in the earth junction.

Sellfur Olgrim, The Garden King

One of the many offspring of the legendary gunslinger, a legendary paladin of Libra who founded the city of Gardenia sometime after "The Undeadening''. Through his efforts he made a legendary sword named "The Will Of The 12" imbued with the power of the zodiac pantheon and through his relationship with the 12 he was able to reforge Zelgius and become his ascendant he has been highly respected by all zodian cultures and forged a power on par with the other zodian cultures.

Erebus Yor, The Pale King

The former leader of the darkin people was originally an olympian who found forbidden knowledge of Salem and the swarm starting a crusade against the zodians which ended with him in the depths of space believed to be dead but he returned to take command of the darkin giving them the religion of Salem. He led the darkin down to a path of destruction in the dark lands under the faith of the dark gods.
