Elves
Elves are a magic race of people who descend from the Fey, specifically the Iralden. From the iralden came the first two groups of elves the Light Elves and Shade Elves who eventually broke into the other groups of elves from the Light Elves came the high elves, forest elves, ocean elves, & cinder elves from the shade elves came the dark elves, & snow elves. Elves are a prideful & long lived race with magic woven into every fiber of their beings making them a powerful race although they have a reputation of being uncaring to the plights of others and being elitist which for most elves isn't far from the truth. Elves live in places full of nature and beauty building secret settlements to wall themselves off from other mortals finding it difficult to truly bond with other races whose lifespan is a fraction of theirs.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Elves have slender athletic builds, their blood is white from the various types of magic that is woven into their cells. The elven brain has two special glands on the left and right side of it, this gland absorbs arcane magic, allows their telepathy with each other, enables their trance, and protects them from being charmed or put to sleep through magic. Elven brains are wired differently than typical mortals while they have all manner of emotion they aren't quick to emotion and are often seen as aloof and emotionless due to emotions having little sway over them.
Elven eyes are capable of immense sight through using the wavelength of the arconis's essence to see in the dark, thermal signatures, and even life-force itself through the wavelength acting as a secondary means of seeing the world. The souls of elves due to their inability to find true rest after death reincarnate and retain the memories of their past lives as well as memories of their time during death. Elves don't have that much in terms of differences in their genders as sexual dimorphism isn't as prevalent as it is in humans making males and females rival each other in height and build. Due to magic making up their being fulgarium is toxic to them mere touch can cause pain and injection of Fulgarium would cause an agonizing death in hours.
Biological Traits
Elves have magic woven into their bodies and blood. Their white blood gives them their long lifespan of a thousand years. It's through this magic that they can innately cast cantrips. Their brains or rather the glands on their brains gives them an immunity to being charmed or put to sleep through magic, with practice they can naturally conduct telepathy with each other and even sense the location of each other through these glands. Elven eyes are famed for their superior sight through magic. Through practice an elf can use the wavelength of the arconis's light; they could use it to see the world in a different way, seeing through darkness, seeing life-force and thermal signatures.
Genetics and Reproduction
Elves reproduce sexually having a gestation period of three months although elves rarely feel a need to reproduce having a rather low libido. During this time the mother sings to her baby and tells them stories of their people teaching them before they are even born, not all elven mothers do this however.
Childbirth for elves isn't painful at all and the process takes up to a half-hour to complete. The elven infant will rarely ever cry and feel a closeness to their parents from birth although this occurs when the mother actually speaks to her child in the womb.
Growth Rate & Stages
Elves despite being a long lived race physically mature quickly at the same rate as humans. Infant & youngling elves regularly see the memories of their past lives as well as memories of their afterlife Terra although these are seen with sadness and horror at the state of their afterlife. These memories are what teaches them how to be proficient with their group's weapons and languages.
Youngling elves begin to practice their senses from their eyes gaining darkvision. Juvenile elves no longer see memories of their past lives rather they see memories of their specific life & they begin practicing the use of the magic in their brains learning how to use telepathy with each other. Once elves become full blown adults is when they reach physical maturity being able to reproduce although the urge to do so is small.
When elves get to be 950 years old they begin to become elderly and their bodies begin to degrade although they regain their memories of their various lives and afterlife. It's as an elderly that elves become hermits trying to do something to ensure that their next life is better.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Elves are omnivores needing all food groups to remain healthy although elves are known for eating alot less than other races. Elves can sustain themselves on much smaller portions of food needing only half as much as a human to live.
Biological Cycle
Elves enter puberty during their teens although the urges are small but acknowledged. While elven libido is low once they become adults every ten years they enter a state of heat for 1 month.

During the time when elves and orcs were in conflict with each other, orcs would take elven ears as trophies and snacks. In more civilized places elven eyes and blood are sold on the black market & during a time when humans and elves were in conflict they would also be used as breeding stock to make powerful half-elf offspring.

Elven eyes are even capable of hyperfocusing on specific details and people as the elf becomes fixated and enamored with something.

History
Elves were born from the genetic dilution of the Nirdale leaving Primal Heart after a deadly war not wanting to be involved in the conflict but where barred from ever returning for abandoning their original homeland. The light and shade elves were flung around the cosmos, many being separated from their main group; many elves ended up on other worlds; this ordeal even affected their memories of their original homeland and the allies they were separated from. As the elves found their way to other worlds like Midgard and Zodia they sought to make new lives for themselves and their families growing strong societies walled off from other races.
Their seclusion wasn't respected however as many races like orcs and humans sought to exploit them causing much conflict between the races. The success and strength of the elves solidified their sense of superiority over other races, keeping their settlements isolated through magic and ignoring the other races due to feeling as though others are beneath them. Elves typically remain secluded away defending their ecosystems from outsiders.

- Elves believe that their reincarnation is a curse that is the price for their magic and power.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Some humans look at elves with reverie while others look at them with disdain due to their elitism and power. Over thousands of years the relationship between humans and elves has improved immensely.
- Orcs: For a long time elves and orcs were enemies with a lot of hate between them. Orcs raid their settlements using their ears as trophies, and do other unspeakable acts. Despite this long history of bloodshed and death, elves and orcs find peace through separation.
- Tieflings: Elves and tieflings despite being both magic races are often distant due to infernal magic and genes standing in opposition to nature. Despite this contrast in magic some elves and tieflings form close bonds due to being mistreated magic races.
- Haloin: Haloin are one of the few races seen with distrust due to their celestial blood. Elves rarely give haloin trouble going through their abodes and are often welcomed into elven cities.
- Half-Elves: The cross between elves and humans treated as lesser beings due to the human being part of them. Half-Elves don't indulge in elven culture seeing it as selfish and arrogant hoarding magic from the world.
