Orothonian Ocean
The Orothonian Ocean lies to the west of Tinturbean and on the eastern coast of Novanoir. On Tinturbean the city of Oroth (which in fact originally lent its name to the ocean) is the closest major port to the Dark Domains and was in the front line of the Breach Wars as a consequence.
History
During the Limit Protectorate, Prince Rygarde built his headquarters, the Fortress of Ocroven, on an isolated island about half way between the two continents in the middle of the Orothonian Ocean, so that he could monitor both of them.
In the image at the head of the article we see the Loyalist Thaumatic Army Council fleet sailing under cover of thaumatic screens and fog across the Orothonian Ocean to engage the prince at the battle later called the Eviction.
Much more recently in contemporary times, Pannelle has had to cross this ocean to reach the Dark Domains and is shown standing here above the Great Escarpment at the very edge of Empire.
