Elves
Elves are among the most populus and most well-respected of the different anthroests that exist in Ayrath and The Under Realm. While the Drow are another type of elf, they are typically viewed as their own kind of anthroest, similar to the distinction between Goblins and Orcs. They are widespread across Ayrath, being quite common in the majority of nations as well as the nationless land that exists between Excepiterra, the Littlewood Cluster, and the Tarnyk Union.

Geographic Origin and Distribution
There are elves across the whole of Ayrath, and there are some in The Under Realm as well- although the majority of them are Drow. The majority of elves are centralized in the Elven Empire, although they're also incredibly widespread across Tarnyk, especially in Excepiterra. The elves are also the most common type of anthroest in the space that exists between the Tarnyk Union, the Littlewood Cluster, and Excepiterra. The elves that live here are commonly referred to as wood elves, while the elves that are part of the nations of Ayrath are often referred to as high elves.
Civilization and Culture
Naming Traditions
The naming traditions of the elves often result in incredibly long names. An elf's first name is selected by their parents, but their last names are incredibly complicated. They take their father's name as their last name, but this is in addition to their father's last name, which is in addition to their father's, and their father's, and their father's, going back for generations. This results in incredibly long and complicated last names, although often when asked their names elves will only use their first and father's name and omit the rest.
Major Organizations
While the elves are involved in many major organizations, they are most commonly associated with the Elven Empire. However, they also have a significant presence in Excepiterra, and the Drow are also primarily found in The Under Realm. There have also been elves present in Dracosalus, although there are fewer.
Major Language Groups and Dialects
While most elves do speak common, they also have their own language in Elvish. Unlike the majority of languages in Ayrath, Elvish has little presence outside of The Surface Realm and Under Realm, only being present in a handful of other realms.
History
Elves are among the oldest anthroests in Tarnyk, diverging from Anthrones around 350,000 years ago. However, their recorded history only began 20,000 years ago.
