Dracosalus
Despite its size, Dracosalus is considered to the most powerful nation in Ayrath. Made up of Dracosalus Island, the Draconic Isles, and Draco Bay, Dracosalus doesn't have much of a claim to the Ayrath mainland, instead being primarily made of offshore islands. These islands are largely forested, with the two largest also containing mountainous (and even volcanic) regions. Dracosalus has a very hostile relationship with the nations of Ayrath's mainland, often being unwelcoming of outsiders and being generally uncooperative with the other nations. Little does the rest of the world know, this hostility is the result of Dracosalus' determination to keep a secret from the rest of the world, knowing the inevitable chaos that would result from its unveiling.
Structure
Once, Dracosalus was ruled solely by the Emperor, who was always descended from Darian Brimjaw. But as time went on, the government grew and the powers were spread among a group that would become known as Council Draco. The Emperor remained the leader of Council Draco, and while they still hold the majority of the power (most notably, command over the military), the power is not solely theirs. Council Draco is now made of seven members, six of which are chosen by the people. However, when the Emperor dies, their successor is chosen by the Council instead.
Culture
Dracosalus has a very diverse culture, having gathered people from all across the world in its early days. Now, the nation's borders are strictly monitored and closed in an attempt to keep the nation's secret, but within its borders the nation is quite freeing, allowing its people to (generally) do whatever they please. The nation of Dracosalus is an incredibly joyous place in spite of its heavily restricted borders and significant investments into the military, in part due to its massive secret....
Military
Dracosalus has the strongest military in all of Ayrath. Some soldiers are trained from childhood, most of whom go on to make up the most elite branches of military. The whole of Dracosalus' army goes through extensive training, being prepared for even the most brutal combat in the most disadvantageous positions. It is commonly theorized by military analysts that even if Dracosalus went to war with a united force of every other nation in Ayrath, they would still come out victorious.

Dracosalus is in control of much of the ocean around the Eastern end of Ayrath. Their nation is centered around Dracosalus Island, and they also possess a large island to the south known as part of the Draconic Isles. They also control many small islands between their two primary islands and the Eastern coast of Ayrath's mainland, and 1000 years ago laid claim to Draco Bay, which they ceased from the Goblin Nation by force. Many of the islands to the West of Dracosalus Island are also considered to be part of Dracosalus, but the nation doesn't exert its power over the West nearly as much as it does the East.
