Anthrones
Anthrones are the original anthroests. Another (less technical) term for them is "beta Humans," however this term is not widely used. Anthrones are believed to have first emerged in Ayrath almost 500,000 years ago, at which point they spread across The Surface Realm (and eventually found their way to the Under Realm), at which point they began to diversify and evolve into the different races that exist in the present day. The last Anthrone is believed to have gone extinct 200,000 years ago.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Anthrones are, for all intents and purposes, the same as Humans. Anthrones were the original anthroests, which all other anthroests evolved from, while Humans are the result of intermixing from different kinds of anthroests. They were similar in size, build, and everything else (although they did have significantly more hair than Humans do).

Geographic Origin and Distribution
Once upon a time, Anthrones existed across the globe. Anywhere that anthroests are now, Anthrones once existed at some point in history. However, Anthrones went extinct 200,000 years ago, so now they don't exist anywhere... that's been discovered.
