Gnomes

Gnomes, life Halflings, are generally among the less interesting anthroests, having no major place in history besides a couple of notable characters. While there is more folklore and myth around them than Halflings -such as legend of their ties to brownies, which, while now known to be a kind of fairy, were once believed to have branched from gnomes. People often tend to pay no attention to the gnomes, which if they were any other kind of anthroest could prove dangerous. However, gnomes rarely have any large ambitions beyond themselves.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Gnomes can be found in just about any civilization in Ayrath, as they, like Halflings, are rather uncontroversial. Nobody really cares if they're there or if they are not, as it is just as fine either way. Gnomes are less common outside of the Littlewood Cluster, however, as they generally recieve fewer accommodations than Halflings due to being smaller and less populous than them, as well as being less adaptable. However, all in all, they are among the easier anthroests to try and find in every corner of the world.

Civilization and Culture

Major Organizations

Like Halflings, gnomes aren't really associated with any organizations outside of the Littlewood Cluster. Not for a lack of trying, though- gnomes love to be included in every group, making them a bit more common than Halflings in most organizations despite being generally less common. They even have a couple of clans commonly nicknamed the "Troublemaker Clans" out in the unoccupied space between the Tarnyk Union, the Littlewood Cluster, and Excepiterra.

History

While gnomes have existed for around 300,000 years, their recorded history begins with the other anthroests around 20,000 years ago.
