It is the 1,257th year of the Storm, the Age of War is unending, and the world is in a state of chaos.
In the west, the tribes of Barbaria have united under one king, Barsoris, and threaten the whole continent. The Grest Empire seems set to collapse as its many client states have rebelled, chief among them the Yeowendians, who have almost penetrated the Circle Council and even threaten the great old empire of Larendor.
In the north, the Empire of the Reaches aids the Kirnen in their desperate rebellion in a bid to weaken the Grest Empire, and scheme to overthrow the new Zedekan state. The Golden Coast continues trading as usual, while routinely holding off Barbarian border raids.
In the south, many kingdoms clash, all fighting for small pieces of land they’ll never gain. The Irilians, Arnians, and Cypanians have united to destroy the Barbarians, but gain no ground. The Brauro River tribes have decimated the many armies of the Grest Empire, while maintaining their forever war with Urua. The dragon orders of Inver and Areksa slavishly worship their dead gods while the world goes on without them.
In the east, Larendor contends with the aftermath of its broken empire following the 11 Years under its new king, Corprealius the Younger. The mighty forces of the old empire stand ready on its western border for Yeowendia, and the king holds a gentle diplomacy with the Hadanene. The Hadasen Knightship grieves for its former leader while the incoming grandmaster Zarter Derstry moves to distance the order from the sins of his predecessor. The Alacanian Republic contends with pirate raids from Jackubec, and the Pirate Republic cares not for the continent’s struggles, binging and boozing all the same.
This is the world in the 1,257th year of the Storm, who will save it, and who will perish while trying?
