Draconic

Dragons and their hybrid offspring known as the dragonkind spoke a distinct language during the Dragonreign known exonymically as Draconic that used speech patterns similar to Nadrāin. Unlike Nadrāin, however, Draconic was not a written language. Draconic was primarily spoken by dragons and Dragonkind, but was also spoken by First Men and Elves throughout the Dragonreign, as well as the distantly related Kobolds.

History

It is widely debated whether or not Draconic or Nadrāin was one of the first widely-spoken languages on the continent, but scholars agree Nadrāin was likely first due to Naderān's widespread empire. The Dragon Order's doctrine claimed dragons were the first creatures on the continent which would make Draconic the first, but the sparse historical records of the Before (excluding Dragon Order documents) disprove this.

Though thousands of years have passed since the extinction of dragons, the language is still known and spoken by Dragonkind and Kobolds. Little to none has changed about the language since.
