Naderā

Naderā was a village in eastern Yaleakasardia (modern-day Hadasen) during the Before that had about 150 inhabitants before it was destroyed in the Freezing of Naderā.

Etymology

The name Naderā stems from its legendary founder Naderān, who founded the village on land he conquered from a warring tribe upon coming to Yaleakasardia from Tretchen Jantel.

As a central part of Yaleakasardian history due to being the first settlement made by peoples from another continent, it also contributes its name to the Cursed Tongue, Nadrāin as one of the first known standard languages developed in Yaleakasardia.

History

Ten thousand men and ten thousand swords descended upon the continent, and rained terror throughout the land. A grand empire was in the making, but soon to be washed away by fire and ice.
— The King's Chronicles by Phileus Destrophy

The legendary hero Naderān originally hailed from Tretchen Jantel east of Yaleakasardia, and came to the continent with a warband comprised of ten thousand men intent on conquest. For the most part, he was successful in his campaigns, and Naderā was one of the first settlements he founded as part of his new empire.

Naderā was later the home of Perir prior to his becoming a dragon priest, and following his disrobing he returned home before being forced to flee again when his whereabouts were discovered by Inver and the village was evacuated. The village was encased in ice and destroyed in retaliation for Perir's heresy against the Dragon Order.

The site of the village later became the spot where Heart was founded, and the city still stands as the capital of Hadasen.
