Zedeka
The Heptarchy of Zedeka, officially the Seven Securities of Zedeka, is a state in North Yaleakasardia spanning from the Silen Peninsula in the east to the Zarus Mountains in the west. It is bordered by the Empire of the Reaches and the Feldian Republic in the west, and the Kingdom of Larendor in the south, all of which it has had frequent border disputes with. In the north it borders the Golden Sea by way of Reachman's Bay, and in the east it borders the Forbidden Sea.
Zedeka is one of the older nations in Yaleakasardia, having existed as an organized state in some form or another since at least the 150th year of the Calm. Despite modern interpretations of the religion and Zedeka's majority belief in atheism, the state was the origin of Royalism, as the ancient predecessor to the Zedekan Sultanate worshipped their rulers as god-kings.
In the 1,238th year of the Storm, Zedeka underwent a revolution during the 11 Years of War against the Sultan Ispa Lowayta that lasted over four-and-a-half years, which resulted in the Sultanate being transformed into a federative elective monarchy at the hands of the Nonarchic Council, which elects a king-like ruler known as an "Aywa" who as of 1257, is Imman of the Satta. Shortly after the revolution's conclusion and the new state's formation, two of the nine securities of Zedeka, West and East Metiavaria, were expelled. The areas formally remain a part of the state, but are not allowed public recognition and are not given representation on the Heptarchic Council.
