Execution of Saresh of Naderā

A year prior to the outbreak of the Draconic Divorce, a priest of the Dragon Order in the Dragon Temple, Saresh of Naderā, began questioning the doctrine of the order on the godliness of the great dragons Inver and Areksa. Saresh self-published various writings in Nadrāin on the subject, gradually becoming more radical, with his main points on the matter being the inability of both to change the material world or the minds of those who had been previously deemed heretics.

His writings gradually made their way into his preachings, before he was eventually disrobed at the behest of Inver. Several days later, Inver had changed his mind, and had Saresh brought before him where he killed him with his icy breath.

Aftermath

In the immediate aftermath of Saresh's execution, there was public outcry as he was a beloved priest within the city of Yandasard. Additionally, Saresh was the father of Perir of Naderā, who was also a priest in the Dragon Temple. Perir began to preach directly from his father's writings, both in mass and out in public before he too was disrobed. After his disrobing, he fled to Naderā, which was later destroyed by Inver, kicking off the events of the Draconic Divorce.
