Chronology
The chronology of Yaleakasardia is defined in four distinct eras named for the largest themes that characterized them. Each era is defined further by various ages of indefinite length, usually with no consensus on their beginning and end, and they sometimes continue into other eras. Some times throughout the eras have no defining events or continous historical features, and are as such known to be ageless. In the Church of the Gosowaith, ageless times are defined as 'Dark' ages.
The most popular calendars used are the Gosowaith calendar and the Yaleakasardian calendar, more commonly known as the Godless calendar. Both use identical dating methods but the Gosowaith calendar more precisely defines the length of ages and recognizes various annual and historical events relating mostly to the Church of the Gosowaith.

The Before
The Before is the first era defined in Yaleakasardian history and comprises an unknown number of years from the creation of the continent to the Curse. The era is named in reference to its existence before the Curse.
Age of the Dragon
Main article: Dragonreign
The Age of the Dragon (also known as the Dragonreign) came after thousands of years of agelessness following the Creation when the Great Dragons Inver and Areksa rose from the earth along with their lesser kin, becoming dragonlords over the Elves and First Men, killing many but bringing some stability to the land. Throughout this age, many lesser dragons bonded with Men and Elves, creating the Dragonkind.
During the Draconic Divorce, a civil war amongst the dragons broke out, effectively killing all but a few. In a great triumph, the Elves and the First Men united and overthrew Inver, then the last dragonlord, ending the age.
Age of the Slaughter
The Age of the Slaughter came about when First Men began to slaughter the Dragonkind en-masse due to their relation to Dragons, sparking a massive continent-wide racial war between the First Men and a coalition of Dragonkind, Elves, and Dwarves. In retaliation, the old god Sem-don, Patron of Men, instructed a Harunian witch, Ferrerella, to punish the First Men by taking something important away from them. To enact this, Ferrerella placed a Curse on the First Men's language, Nadrāin, causing every spoken word to manifest a powerful magykal effect which affected either the speaker or others around them. As a result, tens of thousands of First Men died, killed by speaking. Many First Men felt the Dragonkind and Elves were responsible for the Curse. The First Men, as a disorganized group, undertook an effective genocide, destroying Dragonkind and Elven culture and wiping out both across Yaleakasardia. This angered the old goddess Yaleaka, Patron of Elves and the Creator, who, in order to alleviate the killing, bestowed upon Men the Common Tongue. Thus ended the Age of the Slaughter, however, the damage had already been done and both the Dragonkind and Elven species remain all but wiped out, as both are few and far between on the continent.
The Quiet
The Quiet is the second era defined in Yaleakasardian history and comprises approximately ten thousand years following the Curse. The era is so named for the relative lack of knowledge about it, in large part due to the collapse of the many advanced civilizations from the Before because of the Curse which deprived the First Men in Yaleakasardia of any speakable or writable language. Elf civilizations still endured for a time, but those too would eventually collapse as part of the Great Erasure, a First Men-sparked genocide of nearly all of the Elf races. Elven ruins dot the continent but provide little context for the era due to their almost total destruction. For much of the ten thousand years of the Quiet, likely as a result of the Curse and the Slaughter, there is no record of history or defining events, and as such is defined as ageless.
The Calm
The Calm is the third era defined in Yaleakasardian history and comprises two thousand years of revival as Men were gifted the Common Tongue and advanced civilizations re-emerged, representing a stabilization of the continent. The Era ended in in its two thousandth year during the Wrath of Odyysno.
Age of the Gift (1 - 1,900)
The Age of the Gift spanned 1,900 years of the Calm, representing renewal and forgiveness as a result of Yaleaka's gift of the Common Tongue to Men.
Age of the Keepers (1,900 - 1990)
The Age of the Keepers lasted for 90 years and is so named for the founding of the Order of the Giftkeepers in the 1,900th year of the Calm, who utilized the magykal effects of the Curse on the Nadrāin language to advance the world of Men, harnessing it and regulating it. The Giftkeepers revived the Nadrāin language and revolutionized the usage of its magykal properties.
Age of the Wrath (1990 - 2000)
The Age of the Wrath is the shortest age in Yaleakasardian history, lasting only 10 years, and it began in the 1,990th year of the Calm with the invasion of the mortal plane by the Dark Pantheon God of War Odyysno. The Order of Giftkeepers had prepared for such an event, and with the help of the armies of Kereas led by Corprealius of the Dark, defeated Odyysno.
The Storm
The Storm is the fourth and current era of Yaleakasardian history, so far comprising 1,257 years. It began during the Wrath of Odyysno, and is so named for the persistent tumultous geopolitical state of Yaleakasardia that has defined its tenure.
Age of Victory (1 - 97)
The Age of Victory followed the Age of the Wrath, and begins the era of the Storm. It is so named for the triumph of Men over the powers of the divine, specifically the Dark Pantheon god Odyysno. The age is marked by prosperity for the various civilizations of men across Yaleakasardia, and a general improvement upon relations between them. The Age of Victory ended in the 97th year of the Storm when the Larendoric order declared war on Zedeka in the First Desert War.
Age of War (97 - Present)
The Age of War began with the outbreak of the First Desert War in Zedeka between the Larendoric Order and Zedekan Sultanate. The Age of War has been marked by frequent war throughout the continent between the kingdoms of Men. Most recently, a continent-wide Great War has broken out.
