The Legion
Military force of the United Communes of Kūpapa, The Legion is the biggest army in all of Whenua.
Not only they outnumber all the other kingdoms, but the training and discipline they are subjected to make The Legion soldiers some of the most fearsome and skilled warriors of the continent.
Composition
Manpower
The Army of the United Communes is known as the Legion. Commanded by the Legatus, the legion is formed of 3 different groups of units, all having their own commander:
- Deceria: A squad of 10 soldiers who shared a tent and fought together.
- Centuria: A Centuria is made of 100 soldiers. Each century had 10 decerias.
- Miliaria: The full legion which contained 10 centurias, for a total of 1 000 men.
- Legion: the combination of all the armies is known as Legion. The kingdom has 100 Miliaria under the legion, for a total of 100 000 soldiers in, more than any other kingdom in Whenua.
Equipment
There are 3 types of soldiers in the Legion, each with their own set of equipment:
- The Legionarius, which is the infantry of the army.
- The Sagittarius, which is the archer of the army.
- The Eques, which is the cavalry of the army
Structure
- The Legatus is the high commander of the legion.
- A Tribunus is in charge of a Miliaria, they are the second in command.
- A Centurio is the commander of a Centuria, the highest rank soldier who would actually enter the combat field.
- The Praefectus is the lowest commanding rank, and it is in charge of a Deceria.
