Rongo

The city of the law, Rongo, is the capital of the Kūpapa kingdom and biggest of the communes. Built within the territory surrounded by the great Kohao chasm, the city includes:
  • Rongo Castle, where the sovereign resides
  • Kotahoro commercial district
  • Pakanga farmlands district

Although it is not officially part of the city, thanks to its role as the only entrance to the lands of Rongo, the city of Marae has a strong connection to the capital and operates under the direct jurisdiction of its laws and, consequently, of the King.

The castle also houses the Kaunihera palace, where the sovereigns meet when the council of the same name is convened. Usually, it is the responsibility of the king of Kūpapa to summon the other rulers, but in fact, all monarchs are allowed to do so. The table of laws is also kept here.

Kotahoro, despite being considered a district of Rongo, is practically a separate city where the merchants' guild, which distributes goods throughout the kingdom and trades with other territories, can be found.

In the Pakanga farmlands, there are large plantations that supply the capital. There is also a village where it is said that ancient and noble families once lived.

To the west of the castle is the rock of the beasts called Tokarehe, where various species of animals live and plants grow that are very different from those found in the rest of the capital.

The Wehenga River splits the territory of Rongo in half, providing an additional level of protection and allowing greater control over movements within the capital.   The city of Rongo also hosts one of the 4 main cathedrals of The Church of the 4 the one dedicated to the first mother, Lexoria: The Law.
