Karaihe

After awakening the full power of the crystal, Matekai built a tower and used it to climb up to the sky to reach the Kara. Here he started studying the magical stone and soon more and more Maji (magical users), drawn by the rumours about what happened, started gathering here.

What at first was just a flourishing land, soon became a village, then a town and now it is a thriving metropolis where all the most powerful Maji of Whenua come to either study magic, research the crystal or live among their peers.

Karaihe is built on the flying islands around the Kara and each level host different type of people. The higher the level, the higher the rank of the magicians and while in the lower level the access is usually granted to most people, to reach the top you either have to show incredible magical abilities or have a permit or invitation to enter.

The 3 Levels

1. Karaihti: the lowest level, mostly filled with non-magical users, people are mostly poor and the architecture is the same as the one of the old Empire;
2. Karaihte: the middle level, nobles and bourgeoisies live among its islands, while most of them are Majis, Sekhtis (non-magical users) are mostly allowed to enter as servants or slaves;
3. Karaihtei: the highest level, built around the top of the crystal, next to its core, this is a technological and magical advanced city. The architecture is something completely different from what can be found on Whenua and even the outskirts where everything is built respecting the surrounding nature, has a vibe never seen before on the continent. People on the outskirts are leaving in search of Eternal Peace, Nirvana. At this level only high level Majis and those with special permits are allowed to enter. The secrets of magic are hidden here and huge libraries, laboratories and the University of Magic and its schools fill the city.
