Deep Mythic
The mountains stir with the voice of dragons.
Newmoons, without any magical power of their own, may eventually become Witches. But what is the fate of the Mythic, who is born with magic in their veins? Deep Mythic. The 12th rank in the Hierarchy of the Occult, representing an ascension beyond Mythic and High Halfborn into something entirely more. Deep Mythics command more fundamental roles than their Mythic counterparts, becoming representations of lofty concepts like fate and knowledge or worldly bodies like mountains and stars. Their bodies adapt to these concepts and spaces as grounding principles that define their existence, to the point where many Deep Mythics can only be killed by destroying the icon that they represent.
More than any other part of the Hierarchy, Deep Mythics share a deep desire to hide their existence. They take on massive ethereal forms and dwell in isolation in the far corners of their world. Without the threat of being discovered by mundane humans, Deep Mythics have thrived in the modern era. They peacefully coexist with society as watchful guardians for both Mythics and Witches, free from the muddy conflicts of the world around them.
It is for this reason that Deep Mythics are often scouted out by Deities as stationary guards for important pieces of their creation.
