Divine Domains
Within the doctrine of the Goblin Cult Temple, The Master is venerated as a living embodiment of dominion and order, his divinity expressed through command rather than proclamation. His recognised domains are:
1. Dominion (Rule & Obedience):
The Master is believed to embody the natural hierarchy of strength, that authority flows from the will to lead and the discipline to sustain it. His worshippers view his presence as the living law of rule through merit, not birth.
2. War (Strategy & Survival):
He is seen as the silent strategist, the architect of battle who brings order to chaos through foresight and control. Goblin warriors invoke his name before conflict, believing his gaze sharpens their judgement and steadies their courage.
3. Protection (Fortitude & Shelter):
To the goblins of Mire, The Master is both shield and architect of safety. His fortifications, laws, and victories are considered sacred acts, each structure and settlement under his reign regarded as part of a greater divine design.
4. Knowledge (Calculation & Insight):
Scholars within the cult teach that The Master’s understanding of human and goblin nature grants him prophetic insight. His written orders and tactical scrolls are preserved as scripture, studied for guidance on leadership and endurance.
In iconography, The Master is depicted as a seated figure of pale flesh and iron gaze, a sword resting across his knees, his shadow cast long, often shown with The Cat crouched protectively before him. Together they represent the union of law and feral instinct, the two halves of divine mastery: order and will.

Redstone Hold
The Master then appeared in Redstone Hold, taking a bounty from Clan Redstone to purge the Embercrack Western Border Tower of bandits. Though they succeeded, Clan Redstone refused payment. Within a few days, The Master returned with a contingent of goblins, retook the tower, and peacefully seized the surrounding region — forming the first nucleus of what would become Clan Bogclutch reformed. He then liberated Duskfen and Duskfen Hollow, clearing both from raiders and uniting the settlements into a single frontier. During The Oakwood-Fighters massacre The Fighters Guild attempted to weaken the Vanguard by funding one of their defectors — a Guardian-trainer — to form The Retainers, a splinter guild occupying Grey Hollow Keep Ruins. Ordered by House Serrean to clean up the chaos. The Master was one of the leading individuals present against The Fighters Guild. After the Retainers were dealt with in retaliation, the Vanguard issued warrants on all Fighters Guild members. Under The Master’s command, a combined warband — including The Cat, Tamsin Marshbite, Gresha Bogclutch Ironfang, and ten goblins from Clan Bogclutch — assaulted the Fighters Guild’s Grey Hollow headquarters, massacring everyone inside and effectively ending the conflict. When Commander Deyran Veynar of House Serrean arrived to reclaim the building, The Master reportedly raised his hands, surrendered authority, and left without resistance. The Maw Tower Campaign and Dalkurharn Alliance Between the Grey Hollow purge and the Redstone frontier wars, The Master briefly assisted The vigilance in claiming Maw Mine’s Fishing District from The Black Thorn Gang. Later, when Maw Rest was attacked by bandits spilling from the south, The Master and his warband struck back, reclaiming Maw Tower, an outpost belonging to the isolationist Clan Dalkurharn. Despite Dalkurharn’s xenophobic doctrine, The Master returned the tower to them rather than occupy it. The gesture won him an unprecedented alliance with Amber Dalkurharn, who personally led Dalkurharn reinforcements during the final engagement. This military cooperation cemented his standing as a legitimate regional power.

Reign
The Master’s rise to authority across the Mire frontier marked a defining shift in the political landscape of southern Redstone Hold. His early campaigns were characterised by calculated violence and decisive control, beginning with the Siege of Maw Rest, followed by the successive subjugation of Duskfen and Duskfen Hollow. Each victory dismantled entrenched bandit factions and rival militias, consolidating fragmented territories under a single, disciplined command.
Following these military conquests, the Master implemented an unprecedented phase of administrative oversight and structured governance, establishing Mire Point as both a strategic headquarters and civil capital. Under his direction, the region transformed from a volatile frontier into an organised vassal dominion, balancing martial enforcement with pragmatic governance.

Religious Views
The Master is not affiliated with any recognised faith or established pantheon within Alderia. His philosophy is secular, rational, and rooted in order and consequence, viewing religion as a tool of control rather than a source of truth. While he acknowledges the social value of belief, its ability to unify or pacify populations, he remains personally detached from divine authority, describing faith as “a chain forged of comfort, not conviction.”
Despite this detachment, several cults and sects, most notably the Goblin Cult Temple of Mire, have elevated him to semi-divine status, venerating him as a living symbol of strength and structure. The Master has neither endorsed nor denounced these practices, maintaining political neutrality while quietly leveraging their loyalty to sustain governance and order.
Social Aptitude
The Master possesses a calculated and composed social presence, defined by measured speech, deliberate observation, and quiet authority. His mannerisms convey control rather than warmth, earning him a reputation for precision and detachment in both diplomacy and command. While not overtly charismatic, his intellect and composure often command respect even from rivals.
He is skilled in strategic communication, preferring restraint and logic over emotion, often letting silence serve as a weapon in conversation. His ability to read motive and adjust tone according to circumstance has allowed him to navigate complex political environments, from guild councils to clan negotiations, without yielding moral or tactical ground.
Despite his outward calm, he projects an underlying sense of intimidating resolve; subordinates describe feeling as though “every word is weighed, every truth calculated.” Though not naturally social, his interactions are efficient, goal-oriented, and rarely without purpose — a reflection of his belief that diplomacy, like warfare, is won through timing, precision, and control.
Mannerisms
The Master’s demeanour is defined by calm precision and controlled restraint. He rarely gestures unnecessarily, instead relying on measured movements and deliberate pauses that convey authority without overt display. His gaze tends to linger longer than most find comfortable, not in hostility, but in calculation, as though assessing the worth and intent of everyone he speaks to.
He often folds his hands behind his back when in thought or pacing during strategic discussion, a habit noted by those who have served under him. His tone seldom rises above conversational volume, yet carries an unmistakable command presence. Even in moments of tension, he remains composed, preferring stillness to reaction, a stillness that others often find more unnerving than anger.
