Clan Dalkurharn
Clan Dalkurharn is an isolationist and authoritarian dwarven polity located in the deep stone reaches beneath Redstone Hold. Stern, insular, and fiercely spiritual, they follow the Threefold Path of Resonance — a doctrine venerating stone, water, and groves as sacred forces that shape existence. Their society prizes endurance, obedience, and spiritual discipline, rejecting outside influence and guarding their subterranean borders with uncompromising zeal. Outsiders are tolerated only by necessity; trust is rare, and diplomacy is regarded as risk rather than opportunity. They maintain minimal relations with surface powers and view the chaos above as a contamination of purpose.

History
Relations with Clan Redstone deteriorated over generations, driven by territorial disputes over mineral seams and ideological opposition. Dalkurharn resisted integration into broader Alderian governance, choosing instead to collapse tunnels, fortify delves, and seal borders to preserve autonomy. For much of Alderian history, they maintained a policy of controlled contact only with trusted traders and select mountain clans.
Change came in Year 87 of the Era of Enchantment. During this period, bandit forces seized Maw Tower, a strategic watch-post in the Mawgraven uplands, and used it to raid supply caravans and outlying settlements, including those belonging to Clan Bogclutch. The Bogclutch goblins, retaliating against the raids, launched an assault led by the figures known as the Master and the Cat. Clan Dalkurharn, recognizing both the threat and the opportunity, committed warriors to the effort.
The joint operation successfully expelled the bandit occupation. This rare cooperation forged an unexpected alliance between Clan Dalkurharn and Clan Bogclutch, rooted in mutual respect earned through battle rather than diplomacy. Since the reclaiming of Maw Tower, Dalkurharn has maintained guarded but formal ties with Bogclutch, marking the first external alliance the clan has acknowledged in living memory.
