Demography & Population   Silverbrook maintains an estimated 120–220 permanent residents, with fluctuations due to transient labour and caravan movement. Population composition:   Primarily Alderian labourers, families, and traders   Small minority of dwarven and gnomish craftsmen and miners   Occasional beastfolk labourers and travellers   Permanent Oakwood Vanguard presence (~15 personnel)   Seasonal increases occur as mining operations intensify or caravans move through the West Forest.

Silverbrook is governed as a satellite settlement of Oakwood - Town, under the authority of the Oakwood Pact. Administrative decisions are made by:   Silverbrook Vanguard Marauder (de facto authority in local matters)   Representative seat on the Oakwood Pact Council (formal political role) Daily affairs are coordinated by Vanguard officers in cooperation with local merchants and miners.   The population has limited civic autonomy, with practical governance primarily driven by security concerns and resource management.

Oakwood Vanguard Oakwood Pact

Silverbrook originated as a resource camp established to exploit river-adjacent ore deposits. Following the disappearance of Baroness Anne Alden and subsequent instability in the West Forest, it became a strategic Pact foothold settlement.   Major developments:   Establishment of Vanguard guild hall   Securing of mining operations against bandit forces   Integration into Oakwood Pact trade network   Growth around mineral extraction and trade protection   It remains a developing but critical frontier settlement.

Silverbrook Vanguard Guild Hall The central administrative and military structure in Silverbrook. Serves as headquarters for the local Oakwood Vanguard detachment, hosting barracks, armour storage, mission planning rooms, and caravan inspection logs. Acts as the de-facto town hall and authority seat.   The Merchant Warrior Tavern A modest two-storey tavern named in honour of Vanguard presence in the region. Acts as Silverbrook's primary social hub, offering basic food, drink, and travelling merchant accommodation. Frequently used by caravan masters for negotiation and route planning.
  Silverbrook Mine A copper-iron mine located on the settlement’s northern ridge. Controlled and protected by the Oakwood Vanguard under Pact charter.
