Brig'thin'thun

History

A war-like nation forged in the crucible of the continuous power struggle that has been An'korg since history began. The continued tension with its smaller sibling nations occasionally boils over from the usual border disputes into bloody battles, however the closeness of the monarchies manage to mostly keep those conflicts from prolonging into full-blown wars.

Demography and Population

Brig'thin'thun's peoples generally stay in close family units, with strong ties to the land on which they were raised. With the exception of the capital Marak'thin Brig'thinak settlements could only be described as towns at best. The races of Brig'thin'thun favour the goblinoid races. The nobility is littered with Hobgoblin dynasties, including that of the reigning (king? tbc). Orcs and Bugbears make up the rest of the goblinoid majority, with significant communities of humans, dwarves, goliaths, and tritons. Many of these non-goblinoid communities are located on the island towns that litter the Vrin'ath Sea under Brig'thin'thun's control.

Foreign Relations

Brig'thin'thun has a competitive but working relationship with both Crik'thun and Ur'vinak'thun, due to their connected noble houses. The southern border with Gor'nik is considered without note and permanently quiet. By contrast the few crossings where Marak'thin joins Blug'ni'ath at the Nik'marath'marath are highly militarised and fraught given their shared bloody history.
