Aibae

Assets

Aibae trains the best mage-navigators in Shaietu, and has used this reputation to successfully install a Ai on almost every major vessel traversing the oceans.

History

Originally just an island nation of outcast mages, Aibae grew over time through it's study and mastery of elemental magics to become a power in and of itself, eventually winning a series of small wars with neighbouring Eawindu that resulted in their dominance of the four vassal cities along the eastern coast of @Kinthrass.

Demography and Population

Genasi make up just over half of the Ai population; the majority of which are mages who live in the capital, Ignith. The remainder of the population is mostly contracters, mercenaries, or transient merchants who work on the mainland cities.

Gazetteer
A fiercely independent nation of mages, that fucntions as a singular communal economy, Aibae is proudly unwelcoming to outsiders. Their riches from centuries of stranglehold over the international shipping industry has allowed them to defend from outside interference through economic influence rather than with martial strength. The central island on which the capital Ignith is located is off-limits to non Ai. Many native Ai have particular disdain for non-Ai Genasi, who they see as mundanes and enemies of the future of magical ability.
Currency
Mages within Aibae can access any items they require without currency. Externally they accept payments in Free Cities Korgiths.
