Objective
Present the weapons we currently have available against the Mist and the ongoing research.
Background
When the Mist came, all of our modern technology suddenly stopped working, yet we still have to face the Mist monsters somehow. Unfortunately, we do not have a stash of real battle sword hidden in the Lille, and we cannot very well fight with kitchen knives. Since then, we have been rushing to find a solution.

Background
When the Mist came, all of our modern technology suddenly stopped working, yet we still have to face the Mist monsters somehow. Unfortunately, we do not have a stash of real battle sword hidden in the Lille, and we cannot very well fight with kitchen knives. Since then, we have been rushing to find a solution.
Mechanism
Metal: We have all noticed that metal sometimes act particularly when exposed to high concentration of Mist. Whenever Mist monsters go, touching any of the metal left behind is playing a roulette with contamination.
From this, we were inspired to treat metal with "our" own Mist—Mist that has come into our body and that is influence by our will - in order to link it to us and to make them more reactive to more Mist.
Process:A metal is poured in a cuve and heated until it melts.
Someone donate some blood and drop it directly from their veins over the top of the melted metal while focusing on the Mist in their blood, thinking possessive thoughts as it hit the metal.
The metal is then forged into a weapon (knives, swords, arrows...) that is more sensitive to Mist, especially the blood donor's.
Result: The Mist inside the metal "activate" it, thus altering the properties of the resulting weapon by making it cut through any material more easily and by making it more resistant. In addition, its elevated Mist sensitivity allows its wielder to push their own Mist within the weapon while using it, which further strengthen it.
From this, we were inspired to treat metal with "our" own Mist—Mist that has come into our body and that is influence by our will - in order to link it to us and to make them more reactive to more Mist.

In addition, its elevated Mist sensitivity allows its wielder to push their own Mist within the weapon while using it, which further strengthen it.
Ongoing development
The current projects of the Research Department are centred around 3 themes:
1. Mist abilities People with special ones such as wielding fire can use the activated metal of their weapon as a focus to send special "attacks"—although no one has yet manage to send fireballs. We are studying this and trying to reproduce these special effects for people without the corresponding Mist ability.
2. Circuit board: We are developing one but for the Mist instead of electricity, to see if we can control the way it flows through a material and if this has an impact on its effects.
3. Firearms: We are working on recreating them, using activated metal for the bullets. The challenge with this is that the explosion that projects the projectile has been rendered unpredictable by the Mist, resulting in the weapons not firing or even exploding.
