Lavalris Woods
Lavalris Woods is a small, but densely forested area that hugs the southwestern shore of Nendëlúlë Lake. The forest follows the channel that connects the lake to the ocean, creating a verdant barrier between the water and the surrounding plains. The climate within Lavalris Woods is humid and temperate, with mild winters and warm, rainy summers.
The forest floor is a lush carpet of ferns and moss, while towering trees, draped in vines, block out much of the sunlight. This creates a unique environment, with a cooler, more humid atmosphere within the forest. The woods are home to a diverse array of creatures. Deer and elk graze in the clearings, while wolves and bears prowl the deeper recesses of the forest. A variety of birds, from owls and hawks to colorful woodpeckers, inhabit the treetops. The forest also provides a home for a variety of smaller creatures, including squirrels, rabbits, and a diverse array of insects.
On the southern point of the woods, nestled on the coast, lies the small village of Cópa-Duinen, a community that relies on the forest and the sea for its survival.
